Sounds great! Fits the 3B perfectly! Slightly richer sound than a 6½ AL. Thanks!

Sounds great. Listening the second time I realized I might be more impressed with your playing than with the mouthpiece. I would gladly sit at the Village Vanguard listening to playing like this.

That is very kind of you! I rarely play small group gigs in Minneapolis, let alone NY but it's a nice thought!

Do you know how to glissando an entire octave?

Can you do a mouthpiece review for a denis wick 5bs?

Outstanding mouthpiece, one of a kind, they put a lot of magic in it...
...thing is, I now have to find a trombone to go along with it...

What kind of trombone are you playing right now and what kind of musical settings are you playing in? Depending on these items I may have some suggestions!

A Conn 88HTO / SL2525 slide... in a jazzy fanfare, sometimes playing in wind bands...
I discovered lately that I was better at playing above the bass staff than anywhere in and below...
But I dislike a too flashy sound as the King 2B, even the 3B is so so for me.
Leaning toward a Yamaha YSL 445, the time being...
Not a lot afordable gold/rose brass belled compact sounding tbones at sizes below .525... with larger slides than the 3B or the Olds Super... the Conn 88HTO is a bit heavy, ergonomically speaking, not really a sport car as the Olds Super...
But, you know, I really can live with it... Thanks for asking anyway !

That sounds great Keith, what is the music and backing track you were playing

Thanks for watching! The ballad was "My Foolish Heart" (th-cam.com/video/lydGmMDCrC0/w-d-xo.html) and the funk tune was from TH-camr Benjamin Harrison (th-cam.com/users/BenHarrisonMusic); I use a lot of his tracks to practice modal ideas!

My goodness you are an excellent player! Can you tell me where I can get hold of a decent small shank V cup mouthpiece for my Yamaha YSL630 trombone? I live in the UK

My two favorite makers/models for more V-shape cups are Stork and the Conn Christian Lindbergh pieces. The Lindberghs I have a much more rounded rim that is a bit thinner than most other pieces; they tend to be more of an acquired taste. The Storks have more of a standard Bach-style rim; my favorite small shanks from them are the T1 and T2…
