This game was painful to me as a kid. I grew up in a family where there was not a lot of money to go around, my parents bought this for me for my birthday because I loved Batman. This game is so unbelievably horrible but I never had the heart to tell my parents so I played through the whole thing with them watching me in the evenings. Having to watch the grappling and cuffing animation 10,000 times is mind numbing. 😄

I only won the game because I cheated. No shame, it was a crap game. But it didn’t make it any less painful. The hang glider level alone should be declared a form of torture by the Geneva convention.
I feel for you, this is absolutely maddening. I think if I had this as my main video game as a kid, I probably would’ve never gotten into gaming. I strongly believe no one tested this game nor was it reviewed because from the very beginning, this game is so unpolished and unplayable that it’s baffling they didn’t cancel it instead of releasing it.
I just love Magneto from Batman, but I prefer Joker from Halo
Saying that, it reminds me of how thousands of kids think that Master Chief is from Fortnite. Sad.

I love that I went to Wikipedia and some one has updated the reception version to mention this episode and the batman worst to best list. Amazing.

I have just seen you both playing the Catwoman game.
That may just be the funniest and strangely on a viewing front most frustrating thing I have ever seen. In the end I think you were quite controlled in your responses, fuck the pay grade I might have destroyed everything in a mile radius and then myself. And on that bombshell, always even in retrospect keep going lads, I loved that and this and it's why I follow you, for all your agony and despair.

I love how you can see how Rocksteady took the best parts of each prior 3D Batman game and blended them together. Batman and Robin + Rise of Sin Tzu + Dark Tomorrow + Batman Begins = The Arkhamverse.
I remember wondering in the All Batman video how a game this new was ranked lower than the old monochrome PC games. Totally makes sense, now.

I think the art direction of this game is great. It’s the most iconic Batman design
In terms of game design, I think it tried to take some RE influence. The branching ending feels very original RE2. I love RE but I can see why these elements wouldn’t be well received in this game

Apparently a major reason this game is so wonky is the dev team Kemco put on it primarily had experience working on Game Boy Advance titles, so all of the AI was programmed in a GBA emulator they’d buried in the code.
Fun fact, as a 10-11 year old first playing this game, I had to have my cousin help me figure out how to get to the next rooftop.. Lol.

I wish I could mail you my copy of "The Sniper 2" for PS2. It'd be one of those perfect games for Ben to play because while hilarious in presentation, it has the most tedious gameplay you can think of.

This game really should have been Justice League Unlimited the game.
I can't believe I thought this game was good back in the day. I just thought that's how games were. And also, I was 9.
it's telling you to use the C-stick to swing, so many unnecessary Bat-deaths. Unless the C-Stick didn't match up with the right stick correctly, probably wouldn't have made much difference though.
I remember at the time being rather annoyed at how bad this game was. I remember the opening cinematic being rather impressive with the score and everything. I also had a tie-in comic in a issue of Games Master magazine. Kemco were developing a game based on another DC property of Lobo as well.

I don’t blame you for bailing out before meeting Black Mask, but it’s a pity you didn’t stick around long enough to reach the hang glider level, because if you think grappling in this game is an ordeal, you don’t know what suffering is. Gliding in Dark Tomorrow meant slowly maneuvering through a narrow canyon in a hang glider that will drop you like a rock if either you don’t have enough lift or you so much as brush against a wall, which you usually won’t be able to see even with the mini map. The level lasts way too long and drives players to the point of Madness.

Well actually got this game for Christmas as a kid and never got further than the first rooftops :p With burnout and medal of honor laying around, I surprisingly didnt bother getting any further x)

Oh god! This is the only game I returned to the shop the day after I bought it. I played it for about 45 minutes before ragequitting. Superman 64 is defendable in the sense that you could look at the screenshots on the box, and just assume it was utter shite, but Dark Tomorrow looked cool on first glance. I hate this game.
I thought my favorite gaming magazine would make an appearance in this due to its 15% review of it, but it seems the review isn't on Metacritic. Their blurb "A real wasted opportunity, comic's coolest superhero is demoted to dribbling Arkham Asylum inmate. Close to travesty."
true story. im from denmark and on a danish site reviewing games, the guy that reviewed this one wrote down a bunch of negatives about the game. like gameplay, graphics, music, voices etc. on the positiv list it only said. nice cape......................thats it

I remember playing this when I was a kid and was like “This is a terrible game lol.”. What made it worse was that I played ‘Batman: Vengeance’ before I played this one then afterwards I played ‘Batman: Begins’. Those two games made this game definitely stand out as trash lmao.

It's sad that this was going to be an open world Batman game which would have been pretty interesting to see however the developers changed it and I don't know exactly what happened to make this game not very good because it had 4 years to develop! (most shovelware games don't take that long to make due to asset flipping, engine reuse, and not bothering to even finish developing sometimes due to due dates)

I've heard of alot of these bad games, but not this one. This must mean it's extra bad. -EDIT- Ah, it was on Gamecube. That's why. Never had a GC.

I'm currently trying to play through it and I think there are some redeeming qualities. The soundtrack is pretty good and sounds eerie. Also there are parts where this game has some decent stealth elements. It's still a bad game.
