If you think most of these were contested 3's for the NBA, you haven't been watching in the past decade. If they are open for half a second, it's pretty much a wide-open 3 for any good shooter. The ball movement achieves exactly that, giving the snipers enough time to get a comfortable 3. How else do you explain the rate at which they hit them in these situations?
What passes as "ball movement" in the NBA is slinging the ball around the perimeter. I see no multiple backdoor cuts, no interior passing from bigs, no passing to off-ball cutters, no post play passing, no extra passing off the screen-in roll...nothing.
Good passing is a priority but damn!! I got tired of it after 7:00. Almost every clip had someone with a wide open shot, or after a weak ass pump fake and still passed, and some had layups. I honestly felt like theyd rather get hyped to embarrass the defenders.
most people complaining about these plays fail to realise that the unnecessary kick outs are part of a strategy. They are actually trying to run down the clock and use the 24 seconds at their disposal. Not only does it help them secure their lead, it brings down opponent morale when they cant get the ball in those 24 sec. Plus it helps them get 3 points.
On top of that, it stops the defense from boxing out any single individual shooter. If they go hard on the d in the paint, they risk the open 3 through outer rotation, if they stay on their shooters, well that just opens up the rim for paint-drives.

Check out a shot map from any NBA game today, most of the court is going unused because of analytics telling teams to ignore the mid-range to take half of their shots as 3s... and you've got PFs, Centers taking 5 3s a game, while guards are also taking half of their total shots or more as 3s.
I know im just a dinosaur l, but i much prefer "good ball movement" that gets you an open lay/dunk than a few swing passes for a marginally less contested three. This stuff is sterile man, so much less artistry about it.
