This is an exellent tutorial, That's what I love about fight skill videos. The coach explains and demonstrates. Doesn't have a friggin white board chart and bunch of bla, bla bla...like a lot of weight lifting you tubers tend to do.Thank You for the post...🥊👍🙏
I love u guys. Thx for taking me back to the basics. I haven't trained in almost 10 years. Idk what u guys call it but I call it slow training. So, as not to burn a lot of energy too quickly. Since 1:30am last night to right now (6:30am) I've been taking 15 minutes to half hour break before I start training for an hour or 2 on basic ftwrk, slipping and just jab all night. Double jab at times as I slip in and out of line. I never practiced in forever and I'm gonna join a boxing club in Ottawa once I master the basics because hell yeah I need all the boxing equipment. Even tho, I don't have all my fingers. I'm only competing against myself and the yesterday version of 'me'
Do you only slip straight punches? Will they work for hooks? You are slipping to the left when he throws a cross and the right when he throws a jab. Should that always be the case?
It looks like you tend to lower your hand a little bit during the slip. Wouldn't it make sense to actually hold it a bit higher during the slip? So you are still guarded just in case you are not fast enough with the slip?
You have to disarm them. Pull the knife away from their hand once you have it in your abdomen. Remember that twisting your torso fast and firm is the key to disarming them.

2. pivot opposite foot
3. side bend so shoulders tilt slightly
4. slip side knee bend

The hardest thing in this tutorial is finding a partner 😭😭😞
I feel you. I train alone a lot, so I have to really visualize the different types of punches that are thrown
