I've listened to rap for 30 years, this might be the best track in the last 15-20 years when you factor in video production, technical rhymes, and flow.
The art behind is Rakim and BDK is his shirt and the album cover scene. The tool is a gun reference. Hurricane Katrina and Get Her A Cane. Bottle and E&J Brandy.
LL has told the story how this happened: basically it came down to hearing the beat (from Q-TIP), realized Eminem would be great, made the request, then recorded in Dr. Dre's studio (recording their parts separately but being influenced by each part recorded).
@@darrellbedingfield6972 the real deep hip hop guys do. Cliff Beats, Knox Hill. I forget who else. A few others but def not a lot. I try to keep my music reactions in buckets of people who have skill in the field. I cant watch reactors who miss 60% of the song. I switch off immediately.
LL Cool J wrote a health book a long time ago after feeling no energy and drained all the time. I don’t know if it’s in print still. He went 100 percent clean eating. He talked about what is in our food like cheddar. It’s not cheese that yellow stuff he called it. He went on BTE or something. He looked so good like a brand new shiny penny. Everybody noticed He knew how crappy American food was way back then. Most of us are just now finding that out. It’s so great to see these two collaborate.
It seems a number of folks aren't aware of LL's song "Murdergram" on the "...Knock You Out" album. Obviously LL wasn't rapping like *this* on that track, but it is a rhyme dense track that fills up every bit of 3min.
This 'bout makes your head spin at how freaking amazing the combo of these 2 goats bring it!!! ❤👊🥰🎶🎶🎶🎶 Great reaction sir 👏👏👍❤ "Mama said knock you out", my fave LL Cool J song ever! ❤🎶👊 Btw, I'm 53, so LL is only 3 years older than me and Em is like a year and half younger than me. My era, my people, my faves... This is GOLD 💛🎶🔥
How this feature happened: The story is on TH-cam from LL's perspective. Simply stated, q-tip was playing a beat for LL, and afterwards LL said that this would be a good beat for Em. LL called Em told him about the beat and song, then LL sent Em the beat, and thereafter Em agreed to jump on it. Like I said the story is on TH-cam.
They both shouted out each others neighborhood. Farmers Blvd is LL Cool J's Queens Hood. 8 Miles is Eminem's Hood. So it wasn't about insurance claims. Listen to the Bar.
What you tried to say is: Things ain't just the same for gansters (Dr.Dre album , song= the Watcher) by the way Nate dogg said in a podcast that Eminem wrote it for Dre.
Early US before it was the US was built on agriculture, farms, so early successful farms and grocers and transportation manufacturers would pass their success as a business down as industry grew. So a lot of big money institutions will have names referencing agrarian life, statefarm insurance. Farmers something, etc
LL horror q-tip making the beat in the studio and he thought it would be a good idea to put Eminem on the track they hooked up in LA and recorded it at Dre studio which is aftermath 🎧🎧🎧
you were thinking about the Dr Dre song "The Watcher" which is a classic Westcoast anthem..... that guess what........Eminem wrote "The Watcher" song for Dre lol Detroit's own Eminem wrote a westcoast classic. alot of people dont know Eminem wrote it, but you can fact check it......the info is online
Man, he been bringing up ecstasy and and lean a lot lately. He must be missing those pills. Well, I know he is because even they’re in his Hall of Fame speech he said drugs are great. I miss them unfortunately they fuck up everything. Facts. Almost all the first insurance companies in United States were for farmers so they have Farm Bureau first farmers farmers original I mean almost every big company started from some sort of form equipment.
This is f**kin insane I've seen it soooooooo many times now it's not funny... 2 50+ year olds killing it showing the younger generation how it's done the beat is insane
I've listened to rap for 30 years, this might be the best track in the last 15-20 years when you factor in video production, technical rhymes, and flow.
BDK. Big Daddy Kane. Legend old school rapper. He was getting fed grapes by women on his album.
I'm pretty sure that Eminem is also wearing a Big Daddy Kane T-shirt in the video.
@@reactionsaccount3955complete recreation of BDK with the whole Roman get up and as you said being fed grapes
Album cover
@@reactionsaccount3955yesss! I was yelling this at the screen! 😂😂
The Farmers reference, L.L. Cool J is original from Farmers Blvd in Queens,N.Y. Farmers is also the name of an insurance company...

Absolutely that danm bar was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Eminem mentioned Farmer's insurance claim and that is a reference to Farmer's Blvd. in Queens, New York where LL Cool J is from

Everything about this song is fire, especially the beat💯💯🔥🔥🔥🇵🇷
Legendary LL and Em. Best collaboration of 2024!!
Beat was made by Q tip from a tribe called quest
LL hasn't been in a Studio in 14 years. NCSI L.A. is the popular TV show he's been doing.
LL and Eminem did a great job
Duraflame logs you can buy at the store. It's a quick light log. You light the paper wrapper and then it will go onto the artificially made log.
@4:46 LL grew up on Farmers Blvd in NYC so it is a nod to where LL grew up
I'm an old head. I'm glad somebody got the Farmers Boulevard line.
Yep and LL shouted out Ems block 8 mile. It’s them just paying homage going back and forth
I love the word play. Also referencing Farmers insurance here in the States.
@shevajones7650 with Eminem we're always going to get bars, doubles, word play, and pretty much the entire dictionary .
@@Eric-e1d9zgrew up in Queens. And knew how hard LL goes for his old block ON Farmers Blvd. So I automatically got the bar.
LL giving you flows with some standard bars Eminem giving you those doubles and triples with some technical rhyming scheme .. pure heat
Yes!! Was perfect!
LL tha GOAT!
BDK is Big Daddy Kane . Em recreated the 1988 "Long live the Kane" album cover .The same one on his T-shirt .
Big Daddy Kane....Album cover of him eating grapes....LL used to live on Farmers Blvd in Queens NY

The beat was blessed by Q-Tip
Big Daddy Kane is an old school legend he is alive and still kicking ass today Eminem is paying homage like he normally does
The hook reminds me of when Em did this exact flow on "I'll Hurt You" & "Gatman and Robbin"🔥
EM and LL killed it big up to Q-tip also

The first Murdergram was on the Mama Said Knock You Out LP.

I immediately thought of "I'll hurt you" as well
If LL em did a collab in the early 2000s it would have broke the internet and we wouldn't have it today
QTip Production It dude. Got that Batman and Robin vibe.
It also reminds me of a J dilla production
