Hi Dave! Thanks for the videos 👍🏻 I’m about to take possession of a well cared-for 2003 R230 SL350 from a friend. I want to keep on top of this type of preventative maintenance. Can you tell me the product number of the KRYTOX lubricant you used? Just so I source the right one. Cheers!
I used a clear silicon grease £10 off Amazon for 500ml tub, I do mine once a month light coat with a brush. I used to get the odd small leak between the roof and rear screen, now all ok, It just refreshes the rubber, helps stop leaks and squeeks. I,m looking for a good workshop manual if anyone knows of one? thanks Ian
@@ashsoft2000 sounds like a good deal compared to dealership prices. I would have used gloves but ran out of them typically! Had to crack on with the job you know how it is 😁
Good video mate I've done this on mine but the odd occasion mine drips on the drivers side front corner
Thanks. Bummer about the leak. Is it in between the roof and front windscreen?
Where abouts are you in Scotland please
Near Glasgow.
Good video Dave.. Gummi Pflege is good as well.. I think that you're using KRYTOX which is better but 5x the price!
Thanks, that’s the name I was searching for in my mind whilst filming!👍
Where did you get the boot spoiler please?
It was an ebay purchase from memory
Great video
Thanks very much! They are good cars👍

Nice one👍Thanks for taking the time to comment. Have you tried easymanuals.co.uk for a workshop book?
Go easy with it, it's like liquid gold..
I know! Lucky I got this for free. Heard it’s actually £44 now!
@@autogaragelife I used the Krytox GPL 105 last year, was £17 for 20gram bottle. A little bit applied with groves goes a long way.

Shouldn't you clean the seals prior to lubricating? you're rubbing that lubricant into potentially dirty seals - how can that be good?
Oh I did, the car was immaculately clean at all times but I used multi purpose cleaner on all seals prior to applying the lube👍
Don’t use wd40
Don’t think I did…did I??
