Helped me a lot. Needs high pressure water to clean the fan blades. If you just use a shower spray or other non-compressor water source, pass a q-tip between the ~300-400 blades & see how dirty they still are. Black mold can be a big issue & not cleaning that completely off will require much more frequent servicing.

    saya berkongsi sikit ilmu ya:
    1. tanggalkan swing motor di drain pan tu sebelum cuci.
    2. keringkan air dgn vacuum blower.
    3. bersihkan drain pipe tu dgn menembak air ke dalam drain pipe.
    4. jgn lupa bersihkan condenser coil dan kipas di outdoor.

    Air conditioner cleaning
I vote we demand Air conditioner manufactures design the equipment they sell to be more user-friendly and serviceable. Clearly all the split type air conditioners you see today are not designed for easy cleaning or easy maintenance. These systems need to be cleaned and maintain on a regular basis. How long do you think those metal screws into plastic housings housing will last before you see failure. Then what, where will you buy replacement parts?

The coil still doesn't need an chemical wash..in this condition only required normal servicing..which is take out cover along with filter followed with watertray and blower...

Tell me about it!! I just cleaned mine last night. Unless you are prepared to turn this into a trade skill, the benefit/struggle ration is skewed the wrong way.
Daikins are great units but omg not for the faint hearted or cautious type cleaner

What is the average TIME does it take to fully clean the filter and the Unit and cleaned up, back in service? Thanks for posting!!!

I just did my three units for the first time. If someones real experienced they can do it in an hour, but my first time took me all morning and part of the afternoon I'd say 5 hours. The reason is there is a lot of screws you can see but once you know it's easier the next time. You can't force anything or you break it. My unit's are placed just inches from the ceiling which makes reaching the screws more difficult and the cleaning more difficult also. I would advise anybody doing it to watch all the Daiken video's on here first. The other thing is some units don't have a removable drip tray and I wasted a lot of time trying to figure out how to remove it.
