I'm thinking of switching to Foundry VTT, and I found this video very resourceful when I do make the switch. I just want to make sure that when I install the plugins if it will work for my players. Essentially just want to make sure that I'm the only one that needs to install the plugins and not all the players as well.

You mention running a pre-built curse of strahd, are you using the DDB Muncher one, or the one by Pyram King? Or something else?

I bought Curse of Strahd on Roll20 and then used Kakarotto's R20Exporter to export the campaign from Roll20. Then I used Kakarotto's Roll20Converter which converts Roll20 campaigns to Foundry VTT. At the time, both pieces of software were free but Roll20Converter is now only available to Kakarotto's Patreon supporters.

Can we pllleeeeeeaaaasssssssseeeeeeeeeee talk about the problems with connecting the players to foundry due to problems with the port forwarding and server renting?

I haven't had an issue with this myself. I use The Forge to host Foundry and my players haven't experienced any connection issues.

@@DiceAndEasy im referring that we shouldnt have to use such services considering the amount of money we pay for this vtt in the first place. it should just be a quick one, two, and its done. not "i have to portforward, or pay MORE money out of pocket.
