They are awesome, Bought a cheapie'ish 500euro one 2 weeks ago thinking it would be hard to learn, Killed it in 10 minutes!(Edit, with this i meant that i was able to do it in 10, do not misunderstand lol). Ordered the Ninebot one s2 and is going well! now i am waiting for my Ninebot Z10 because the one s2 is too slow :/
SeV nice job buying the Segways. When you said you killed it in 10, I of course thought you meant the unicycle, and I just knew you had killed a Gotway. That was my experience. Gotway lasted 1.5 miles till I bonked a wall and blew the mosfets. I too have a Segway S2, and then got a KingSong KS18S.
It's the pedals, the rider confidence, and how much you lean. The wheel can only stop if your weight is falling backwards. If you're not falling over backwards off the wheel, then you're not really maxing out the braking power. :P Best way to brake is to go into almost a seated position. Should wear a helmet in case you fall backwards.
"overload" is when you pushed it too hard on the v10f. with new firmware you have to reset it to get it to level again. It is a problem for heavier riders.
Excellent assessment, Preston/Chris. I’m enjoying both wheels 14d and v8. Too bad v8 can’t play music. The only lack I see with this wheel. Thank you for this study...nothing like a real field testing.
Why, ok I get the 4 speaker KS as last resort on a barbecue with friends out on their wheels but that's about it. Besides when riding there is more often than not traffic around in general right, so at least me want my full undivided attention on that traffic hearing any potential warnings, heck I hate the wind when it mess up warnings so no audible.
you should have measured the distance from stop line to average. I was able to get 17ft from the same test about 6 weeks ago for the KS16, 19ft on the V10F and KS18S.
For the stopping test, I think you guys should have stop the moment you hear the alarm of each of the euc, making use of the sound, your reaction time would have been better. Overall, good job fellas, and very entertaining too!. Oh yeah and testing acceleration is how fast you get up and go and hear the alarm goes off. You can time this using the stop watch. Start timing once u step up the euc and accelerate and stop timing when you hear the alarm going off.
It said, "overload, please get off" and this also happens to me on an Inmotion V3S when I plug it in and it's full charged. Instead of saying "charge completed", it says so, overload and get off. Stil don't know why this happens to Inmotion EUC

Hello lads. I would like to buy my first EUC. I am undecided between Inmotion V8f and V8s. 584Wh 8.1Ah for the V8f and 728Wh 10.1Ah for the V8s. I weigh 185lb and I think the V8s can carry my weight better. Does the higher capacity and higher amperage of the battery also affect the responsiveness of the vehicle? Despite having the same 1000W motor. For example, I would be less likely to risk a cut off. Is it true what I'm thinking? I hope you will help me choose. Thank you very much.

I really want a wheel now after watching this!! - my biggest issue is I will be taking it on public transport (buses/trains) and up/down multiple flights of stairs so I need something light. If the constraints were under 14kg but still being able to go 25km/hr comfortably, would you choose the Solowheel Glide 3?
Maybe you like a little feedback. Not for all wheels is 15 mph (app) the same speed. And i think it is very important to have the same riders setting (Soft/hard) when you compare the stopping ability.

i noticed that if you are good in using a normal MTB or any bicycle without holding the handlebar you can easily learn an EUC.

I had a full speed cutoff on my 16s. Let’s just say I will never take a warning beep from an EUC for granted ever again!!

If they go by sound it would be hard to measure/mark where the braking start point was then.
Much easier to slam on the brakes at a point on the ground, not with a sound. Riding against the tiltback keeps you at exact speed until the line.
Why no gps app to monitor speed? The built in wheel speedometer is not always reliable and is not consistent between wheels either.

Side note, the v10f has 2 modes:confort and classic. The former has linear acceleration /deceleration, the classic mode is more like the v8 feeling.

Did you try adjusting the angle sensitivity on the v10 to see if it would break/accelerate quicker?

They're on, but the amount it'll lose/gain is almost nothing especially considering you're not going to walk it more than a mile.
actually those acceleration is easy to fix with a firmware update :D
