This is an amazing tutorial to see. But what awaits us in the future for Phoenix, is it still being worked on at Chaos? The community is in a state of constant worry at the moment. There have been talks about node-based interface similar to Houdini and performance boosts, real time feedback at the time of Phoenix 5 release, but now there's a worrying silence. Should I keep Phoenix subscription or look for alternatives?
It's really very impressive and interesting, but also very discouraging to see how complicated it is to get the settings right to achieve something realistic. Setting values in different places without even knowing what they're for is a bit frustrating. In any case, this is an excellent video, which is still very instructive.
An amazing video, but what I'd love to see for Phoenix is a UI overhaul, right now, you have to place so many object in the scene and the setting are kind of scattered, it's unclear how they work with each other at first glance. Maybe some kind of node-based workflow could be introduced? Like TyFlow, Houdini, RailClone?
Thank you for the detailed tutorial. I think what is missing is a clear explanation or example made for 4k rendering output. Your settings are good but on a 4K render they have to be adjusted. There have to be some trick to avoid "just increase resolution of the grid" or "add more voxels". Everything in the tutorial is set for a 1280x720 clip. I think last time I used that resolution was 2008...
Gotta spray some insecticide on the farm real quick. I'll be back to watch this. I've tried following similar tutorials done in Houdini but the setups are too complex for now.
I believe in the new PFD (might be a nightly) any parameters changed from their default vaule are marked in a different color like tyflow to know what changes you are making

One of the best and detailed tutorials in a long time. GREAT job Chaos, keep it up!

Great job, PLEASE!! more tutorial for MAYA, we need to " adapt" every tutorial in MAYA but no always is possible 🙏
When will Phoenix FD have full Chaos Vantage compatibility?

PUT PHOENIX INTO VANTAGEEEEEEEE
Hello, when you adjust a certain parameter, it will automatically be marked with a blue color. How did you do this?
