Love this for you! Also think and know God speaks to us by our conscience. If something doesn’t feel right you will get a gut feeling, you will just know and I truly believe that’s God telling us. Sometimes we ignore those answers and still go through the pain or situation.
Very nice. Way to go Sam. I’ve lost a friend who I liked very much. And ultimately it was my fault for focusing on wanting her as more than a friend knowing she was dating. But in a way I’m glad the drama happened because it revealed things that wasn’t meant for me to be part in. She wasn’t what I thought she would be. It’s not to say she’s bad. I almost wished bad things to her. Because in the moment I was very angry. And it wasn’t just my mistakes, she made inaccurate claims against me. And I couldn’t deal with it anymore. She disappointed me because I thought she was a better friend than that. I thought we had a better bond. So to make me out to be worse over anything I would never do to her was very uncharacteristic over the kind of friendship we made. I couldn’t even apologize without being too hard on. And that was frustrating. That’s what bothered me most. And lead to I give up. Not to go off too much into a personal tantrum. I thought we could rationalize our feelings, and make up. But I also own up to my part of not being patient enough for her to come around. I wished her all the best with her bf, and her happiness. I feel like she deserves to know that from me. Because I was horribly jealous of her bf. I got too caught up in wishing she could feel for me romantically. Instead of supporting her finding love, and appreciating the friendship she given me. I can only pray for God to help me get through this. And thanking Him for getting me out of a messy situation. Or what could have been something I thought would be a dream come true, but regrettable. I can do better.
This is good timing, I thought I was healed and while on vacation of course my ex messaged me after 3 months asking how I was, hoping I was enjoying my trip and wondering if I moved on. All my feelings came back and I realized maybe im not healed fully yet. I know her stupid games she tries to pull. She has a new bf but yet some reason told me she has wanted to reach out 2-3 times and checks my fb once im awhile. I told her it's not fair for her to do that when she is with someone and she said I just wont message at all and blocked me. I hope this makes it easier for me but idk :(
I’m catholic but I don’t understand the difference between Catholicism and Christianity… are they the same thing or are they different? Would love a podcast episode on this
Catholics are Christians. There’s a big historical backstory, but basically the differences are that Protestants (or non-Catholic Christians) have a few fewer books in their version of the Bible. Catholics have 73 books, Protestants 66. Catholics also venerate Mary (veneratation is different from worshipping). In my experience, the veneration of Mary is confusing and troubling for some non-Catholics. Catholics also ask for the prayers/intercession of saints, again, something that I think can be misunderstood by Protestants. Catholics also believe in what’s called the “real presence” of Jesus in the bread and wine at communion. Catholic churches can also can look very different from protestant churches, in that they often have stained glass windows, statues, and the use of incense and holy water, things that I think contribute to a beautiful total sensory experience during the services/Mass. I went to Catholic schools from kindergarten through senior year of high school. I fell away for a number of years and have recently started coming back to it more, though kinda of on my own terms as I don’t agree with everything the Church teaches. I’m definitely NOT a traditional or conservative Catholic and I’m not for the “legalism” of any organized religion, but I find a lot of comfort and enrichment in Catholic rituals and traditions. ❤️🥰 Thanks, Sam, for your positive role in my faith journey!
