I like to think of the round dance as a representation of the sacred circle which everyone has a spot in. I'd like to see everyone come and claim their spot in it. All colors of the rainbow of people we have here now.
There's a reason why NATIVES are called such. They're NATIVE to the land. All the rest of us are immigrants or descendants of immigrants. None of us had culture that actually cultivated on this land.
So why don't we find a way to integrate them into our culture without destroying theirs? Unfortunately, our modern Canadian culture clashes in some ways with native culture and that's an issue.
