Thanks indycar, like the 30 minutes videos. Watch full race yesterday, Penske/Newgarden, show. Grossjohn makes way to many mistakes, sought it out romain or this time next year you'll be back in France, picking grapes.
The best racing on the planet. 2024 is go.👍😎 My only criticism of Indycar is the season is too short.
With Newgarden being a master of ovals and now winning on a street course at the beginning of the schedule could spell trouble for all the other teams. His work in the gym seems to be paying off huge dividends for his driving.

It's seriously so annoying. Just talk about the series instead of having a weird complex about it and comparing it to F1.
I see it everywhere. Indy, WEC, Rallying, etc.

Ok race. The green (red) tires were wayyyyy too hard. Hope the rest of the season has higher wear on them. Also this race would be better at 90 or 110 laps. 100 means fuel saving all race and 2 stops.

Is there a Dirty Air issue in IndyCar as well nascar? I'm curious because it's too overwhelming to win in first place. Or are Penske and Newgarden good at it?
dirty air exists in all motorsports
Technically, you can't win in second place or lower
Indycar dramatically reduced downforce going into the 2018 season, so overall the series is well-balanced on that front at the moment. This track is incredibly difficult to pass though, and it wasn't helped by the lack of tire falloff this year.

Are all of the no 51 pit crew ok after the fire?! It showed the flames going out on the car but you could see a couple of the crew on fire!!
They're fine. Since they're using a version of ethanol instead of gasoline, water dilutes and kills the fire in the drop of a hat.
Not the greatest race, but Indycar is a thousand times more entertaining than F1! & the drivers are so much more likeable.
Why does it always have to be about F1? It's ok if you like IndyCar better that should stand on it's own.
@marcellakilgarriff I think it's because Indycar is the poorer relation, so I have an inferiority complex to F1.
@@matthanna7162 yeah it seems like a lot of die hard IndyCar fans are really defensive about it. I like IndyCar, and I agree it often offers closer racing than F1, but I find it so frustrating how the conversation always turns to F1 and how much better IndyCar is. I don't think it does the sport any favours because it kind of puts me off as an F1 fan.

@@marcellakilgarriffand the constant "F1 is the pinnacle" line puts me off as a non F1 fan, so whats your point? the only reason fans bring up F1 in non F1 highlights is to mock F1. with all their glitz and glamor they can't put on a more entertaining race than what you find elsewhere, in this case IndyCar.

Sadly, IndyCar is totally ignored by the UK racing media who seemed to ne fixated on boring and predictable old F1...
its mostly cuz , indycar stays around america only .Unlike f1 which is more open to most regions
because it's an American sport, do we hear much about NHL? NFL? no. i still watch Indy car of the Sky F1 channel..the reason F1 is so prominent in the UK is nearly all the teams are based here, plus with the British teams and drivers. not hard to understand why
Sky F1 shows the Indycar races so naturally it's growing with F1 fans and everyone is starting to realise how exciting the racing is!
I think you need more British Indy drivers then. Indycar has been big in Sweden ever since Ericsson and Rosenqvist moved there in 2019, and Ericsson got huge when he won the Indy 500
Racing was a helluva lot more exciting in the 60s and 70s as far as I am concerned and the run what ya brung days said bye-bye along time ago & I'm tired of the cookie cutter cars.

Not yet, the current plan is to introduce that after the Indy 500.

Still driving the same chassis that came out in 2012 with upgrades. This series is going backwards. F2 is more high tech.
They keep it cuz the racing is good
More tech = less excitement and more predictability
@@Apexsuxss usually i'd agree with you as indycar has great racing, but this was a bad opening race, fuel save and a car train, Newgarden led for 92 laps out of 100, P2P was pointless again due to no-one using it for the 2 stop strategy, i just hope we can have a great race next time
The Dallara chassis is good, the design is great, Chevrolet and Honda engine is ok, average speed still fk fast…Mayb Indycar will update chassis in 2 season later
