- The Duke and Duchess of Sussex carried out a series of engagements in Bristol on Friday. During their visit, Harry and Meghan went to Empire Fighting Chance, a charity that helps young people through a combination of boxing and personal support. Harry and Meghan spent time at the gym meeting people who are associated with the charity. . Report by April Brown.
I’m no royalist in fact I’m anti but I really like these two I don’t know why but they come across as truly nice normal people like you could sit and have a coffee and chat with them type. Meghan in particular comes across as really lovely.
Love Meghan's freckles. She embraces her own beauty and is staying true to herself. This is Harry's best self when he is with children. He will be a wonderful hands on dad.

Brenda. Good observation. Meghan has gotten her footing. She's a fast learner and has had a good teacher in Harry. She's more comfortable in these settings and Harry knows as he said in their engagement interview that, "she'll be or do remarkably well in the job..." She's proved him correct. She is a tremendous asset to her husband and to the Monarchy.
@birdie nomnom. Birdie. It is remarkable how well Duchess Meghan has done in less than 2 years. Harry and Meghan became engaged in November 2017. They married in May, 2018. In November 2018, they returned from their first Royal tour and it's now February 2019 and they are expecting their first child in a few months. Duchess Meghan has adapted to her role as the wife of the Duke Harry of Sussex in only about 15 months now. That's extraordinary. Go well.

I wonder if you have taken note of how Harry himself breaks so called 'royal protocols.' There was one particular video which showed Prince William get out of his car then walk straight to the awaiting people at the entrance of the building - and without looking back at the Duchess of Cambridge . On the other hand, Harry, as shown by some video clips, usually waits for Meghan ( for example, at the Royal Variety show in London, or at the Well Child Event ) and would even allow Meghsn to walk ahead of him. Or , take note how he would hold a chair when Meghan has to sit down ( for example , when they have to sign the guest book at the President's residence in Fiji and the guest book at the Irish President's office ) . It is something more of the French ' Apres vous ' or the American ' After you ( my lady ) ' which is supposed to be being a 'gentleman.' In more formsl situations, both usually follow so-called royal protocols .

Meghan always seems uncomfortable around Black people; At 0:49, talking with the youngsters she seems disinterested, whilst Harry is engaged and attentive; something seems off here, she is always grinning at the glitzy events... this visit seems forced, she could care less. As an African American, I notice she does not have African American associations unless they are celebrity [ like Serena Williams ] ; interestingly, the adorable little girl at 2:00, has her beautiful curly hair in a ponytail...this is almost how Meghan's hair would be, though Meghan had hair that was more African American in texture, in her younger photos than this young girl.

She can choose which side of her heritage she wants to lean into more, that's her prerogative. Barack Obama identifies as African-American and his white grandparents didn't have his head for it. Their personal expenses are funded by Charles' personal income from The Duchy of Cornwall. Personal expenses, includes their wardrobe. It's not taxpayer funded.

You're likely thinking of the Sovereign grant! The Queen personally funds all other members of the BRF's activities via the Duchy of Lancaster, her personal income.
Overseas engagements and those done on behalf of the Government are taxpayer funded through the Sovereign Grant.

The Sovereign Grant is money that comes from the Treasury - i.e the TAXPAYERS - and is given to the Queen for her and her family to carry out official duties.
The Queen uses her private income - the privy purse, to meet official expenses incurred by other members of the BRF.
The income of the Duchy of Cornwall, is used to cover the official expenditure of the members of the Charles' immediate family. Camila, William, Kate, Harry and Meghan, all have their official expenses paid from Duchy income. This fund, covers staff salaries as well as wardrobe costs.
In your original comment, you assumed the taxpayer funds their clothing. I'm trying to explain to you, that's simply not the case. If you don't believe me, that's your choice.
