It's incredible how you can almost tell a story just from the voice lines, when the champion walks around the map, uses abilities, kills other champions, dies or destroys structures.
Also Volibear is both proud and sad because his power comes from his followers, and he gets fewer and fewer as time goes on and human inventions increase.
In The Call, Sejuani and Olaf of the Winters Claw are literally on their way to fight Volibear and take some sort of power that allows them to stay healthy without aid from the gods. Basically a life with a cheat code. Volibear wants humans to fight and stay strong without silly inventions.
I agree with Marquisepixley Ornn is another good 1.
