I love how you guys play this game in the hardest way possible. If you use the barricades to block every route but one the orcs will only go one path. Then you just work together and clear them out. Super easy.
Pretty sure this video was the first time neebs ever pressed G to look at his trap selection. And didn't alter anything.

barriers are amazing, Neebs. Seriously good for late game stuff, cos you can keep them all bunched up and walking through every trtap. If you upgrade them, they'll be cheaper and double sized
Wasn’t a fair contest. Dora had access to higher level stuff.
This! Barriers are probably my most deployed asset. Pathing is key to success in the game. Slows down the hoard, gives you more time to do damage. And if you place it in the right spot in the map, the orcs will only turn around and head the other direction after they see it, giving you a lot more time to hit them. You can force them to walk the map almost twice as long.
@@robot_spider While we're at it.. properly deployed tar pits (and properly upgraded tar pits) are overpowered.
@@Tdoshok Yea Dora and Simon seem to not appreciate the value of control traps over damage. Your player does THE MOST damage out of anything so making it easier to funnel them into your shots is good stuff, though ngl the archer walls were insane and funny as hell.
@nonaG123 ya especially on this map where they could've blocked off one whole staircase and sent everyone up one side to get absolutely destroyed. Ugh I like this series but it's also horrible to watch them "strategize"

I like how Neebs goes into the menu to add the tar trap but never adds it to his hotbar. They never use the extra weapons in the hotbar. This is so infuriating. I love it.

Y'all caused me to buy this game and I've been enjoying it a lot. Not as much as watching you guys play it, but it's really fun to play regardless, so thanks for these videos! I hope you keep posting more levels.
It's like watching those mobile in game ads where the player is terrible and you get so annoyed you buy the game to do it yourself correctly haha
Man, it's hard to watch Neebs place traps. Pay attention to the blue areas and the mob paths.

The barricades are actually quite useful, especially if you invest in reducing their costs. Like when Simon took over, just had to use enough to block off one path from that backdoor.
Your audience demands more orcs with Simon Dora and Neebs.
I'll even edit to say this is your final warning, more orcs. That was amazing
Stanchion is the word for those ropes Neebs, Stanches more refers to the verb or action form of restricting the flow of something. Stanch basically means the samething, not to be confused with Staunch though. Which means to support someone or something with loyalty.
Barriers are possibly the most overpowered thing in the game. In that level, if you put a line of barricades across the stairs at the top, on one side of the rift, EVERY enemy on that side will walk up, see the barricades, and walk back down the stairs and up the other side. Giving you that much more time to kill them. I did exactly that on that level, put big flip traps on the paths and then put every single other trap on one side of the stairs for a pretty easy win (solo).
Basically, as long as you don't completely block an enemy's route, barricades can be used to control their pathing! You can use a few barricades to narrow a entry path and completely cover it in traps. It's called a killing corridor. A lot of levels require you to use barricades effectively if you're doing it solo and want a 5 skull rank.
Neebs “Nothing else to upgrade.” My brain screaming, “Use those 4 skulls to reduce barricade cost!”
As much as they and viewers dog on Simon… I have to give him props here because he is FAR more tactical about placements than NEEBS ever will be.
Neebs is "how cool would it be?" over "what is the best solution?".
It's funny how silly neeb's thought process is, an simon does make more sense then usually, thou I cringe at what all 3 say sometimes😅 , I like how neebs pays zero attention to on screen ques, picatuce/mini map inacator lol an just acts like it's a new thing
I'm almost scared to watch this episode now that I've played the game myself after watching the first two installments here.
I love this game! Always shoot, or point anything DOWN THE LINE, never point anything ACROSS THE LINE, when you have the option of pointing down it!
Loving the playthroughs of this game. You guys make it look like a lot of fun and I loved all the archers on that last map.

It's fun watching them make everything harder than it needs to be by not paying any attention to the actual pathing and range on traps. I also hate to agree with Neebs but barriers are the key to choke points and closing paths.

Love this game and that youse guys are playing it. Brimstone takes out those small quick pests, put your archers up high out of the way. use barriers to close off paths so they all come in one way. Another great vid!
So after seeing you guys play this I got this game. Barriers are crazy helpful! Create a maze for them to walk through and nail with catapult or other traps. Also, combine tar with darts. Upgraded tar increases fire damage and the dart traps can get fire upgrades.
Neebs and Simon combine to make a mediocre gamer.🌎
These are super enjoyable. Just watching the guys play what they want to, while goofing off and having fun is awesome.

For enemies to path through, you need to leave a space 2 wide for the larger enemies. (The width of 2 archers or 1 spike trap for reference.)
Also, placing a continuous trap like lasers in front of your barriers can prevent sappers from destroying them. (2 lasers or a laser and tar trap combo if you wanna be safe.)

I think Simon is actually doing a good job since there are so many play styles for this game (I commented this at wave 4/8 about halfway through the video) but Neebs is 100% right about the barricades, they redirect enemies so you can literally cut off a whole side of a map! and FLOWERS ARE BROKEN, saved me so many times
This has gotta keep going so fun to watch
I really enjoy this this is perfect and relaxing I'm surprised it's not more popular.

are you sure youve been watching the series lol. simons off putting all his traps where nothing is coming from and watching 1 door while dora is getting 3 paths from the other 2 doors... Now if you're saying this is the one game where he isn't complaining about having to "work", then you may be on to something!

This is the best Neebs content after 7 Days to Die for a while. Simon sounds like he'd be quite good at the trap placement
I tell you what, I LOVE using the barrier to funnel them right through the vines. They take damage on the vines and also they slow down and with upgraded vines the vines will grow in spaces. It really does help in my opinion more then tar does.

If I remember rightly from one of the first times you guys played this when enemies split from a gate you can use a barrier to block off one side and then they will all go the other direction

I dont know how simon tolerates Neebs and Dora in this game... 😂 Watching the boys on any game is mildly infuriating but this game is especially derpy for Neebs.

Simon isn't really all that great at the game either if he thinks Tar Traps and Barricades are horrible.
@@urazz7739 I don't know that he's ever played this game before tbh but he was clearly making dumb decisions as well. Like placing traps where the orc guys aren't even going. Watching any of them can be mildly infuriating. Even after years of playing the same games they act like it's brand new to them all the time.
If neebs was an enemy unit in this game it would be the troll, it looks surprisingly similar to him
1:32:23 Archers are good when used right, not as sacrifices! But one problem you have here is that you have the fire damage upgrade on your archers but you are in a level against the devil-kin, who are resistant to fire. Even until just recently, some later enemies were completely immune to fire.
But this is D&D, you have Fire, ice, lightning and Acid.
i did that first map pretty easy solo, by letting them smash the gates down and barricade off 1 of the stairs and just trap up the other staircase that they have to use
i love watching how people play games like this because of how different all the strategies that people come up with and still complete the mission

Neebs, it’s okay, I agree with you on barriers. I use them on literally every map…. Btw, ironically enough, you know how Simon complained about not upgrading barricades and that the barricades are too expensive? Guess what upgrading a barricade does…
Neebs was onto something with the barricades and creating a maze.. Just as he noticed they are expensive so only use them in tight areas to create maze.. Find choke points and then create mazes there.

Got this game cause of y'all almost beat it already, then on to the dlc maps
You can use the barriers on maps where they come out of one door and take two paths to close one pathway off and funnel them all down a singular path which makes it significantly easier to make choke points and concentrate your traps and firepower. I feel like you need to have me on call as a strategic advisor at times.
I should say I do still enjoy watching these videos and I mean this in a helpful way not out of frustration
They've been told about the barriers. It's clear they are refusing to use them so they can continue to act stupid and clueless.
For the Dumpster, you should also play Sanctum 2! It is also a FPS tower defense game. More sci-fi, but still fun.

Guys, barricades are useful as hell. They change the orcs' pathing...like blocking off a whole route of attack.
Next time I wanna see Neebs make a maze out of barricades. I think that could be effective if the barricades get upgraded enough

Neebs, if you fully upgrade ur barricade u get up to 2 lines for 800 instead of 1 for 700.
Upgrading to the double barricade is a must. Neebs would have loved the bigger barricades...Simon not so much lol
The map where neebs and Simon swapped was perfect for the barricades to make them walk the longest route to the rift 😅
