I've made a few of these myself with the boiling water/ice water method. Out of 7 bottles, I might yield two slides due to the fact that I frequently get a crack running up through the neck. Those must be discarded. So, you've got to have a good supply of wine bottles on hand. But, a local wine store here is eager to give me as many empty bottles as I can carry. Usually restuarants and taverns will readily part with them as well.

Or just drink the wine. In our house my wife makes sure there is plenty of empty bottles. :)

Tie some string dipped in flammable liquid around your scoreline.. light it,, let it burn, then dip into your ice water...it keeps the heat more focused on 1 place...

Thanks for the suggestion Jon, I'll try that next time I make one.

Torch. I've done a lot of acid plumbing where it is all the Corning Glass. He just scored it and torch it and sand it.

Sweet lord. Edit man... Have some respect for the viewers. No need for this video to be longer than 5 mins.

Thanks, I agree it could be edited better and made a lot shorter.
