    A pipe cutter that you use for cutting brake lines and plumbing might give you an easier and cleaner cut. Just found this video, good stuff! As is the playing

    • @BenFletcherGuitar
      @BenFletcherGuitar  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you! Good idea, but the one I had was nowhere near big enough to go around the bottle. It was an old design though, kind of a cast block with a cutting disc that you screw down. The hole had a very limited size range for the pipe (which sounds dirty!).

    • @BenFletcherGuitar

      Long time since I made this video, as I remember it was just a straight ahead shuffle on this one? I make all the tracks from scratch for my videos, so it's some kind of drum loop and then I play everything else on to them with varying degrees of complexity. No name sorry. I'd give you a download link for it, but I've lost the file to this project, sorry mate. Ben

    What baffled me was the "Drinking is disgusting" part, but okay.

    • @BenFletcherGuitar
      @BenFletcherGuitar  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks very much, very kind. Obviously not in a judgmental way, it's just always tasted awful to me. Apparently people have told me you have to push past that, but I never got that far! Haha!

      @@BenFletcherGuitar I respect you for not drinking because you don't like the taste, there's people who doesen't like either but drink it aniway for "social pressure" purposes. But maybe if you try the more suggary kinds you'll like it. Try some with hooney flavour or with a flavour more citric that might be a good transition to you. But aniways, you're healthier than most of us hahaha, you're not losing anything actually. Nice talking to you dude.

  • @qt_sir
    @qt_sir 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hey. So your technique to get it unattached from scoring is just pouring hot water onto it? Also I don’t want to make that jig since I only want to make one so what’s a more efficient way for me?

    • @BenFletcherGuitar
      @BenFletcherGuitar  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I found more extreme heat can shatter it pretty indiscriminately, but the concept is going from hot to cold, but rapidly, however you want to achieve that. You can score it by hand, I just struggled to get it to stay square and join back up with where I started. You might have more luck though. Maybe try and rotate the bottle on a work surface up against a wall, so that it can't slide back and forth. Ben

    what key and what tuning? please .

    • @BenFletcherGuitar
      @BenFletcherGuitar  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just had to watch this back, because I couldn't even remember what type of jam I'd put in this video! I'm in standard tuning by the looks, but everything is down a semitone. I believe I'd also be in drop-d (so drop D flat) but in the bits I watched I didn't actually use it, so I'm not sure! So if your guitar was tuned to standard, you'd be in D flat and if you were down a half step you'd be in D (like I am). Hope this helps, Ben.

  • @mattes217

    Hey great video, the rim looks good. Doesn't need to be in square. It doesn't influence the sound

    • @BenFletcherGuitar
      @BenFletcherGuitar  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      May have been a touch overkill, ha! Thanks, man. It's a standard from 07, so it's one of the undesirable hollow ones. It was also refinished by the previous owner in a thin nitro, but much better looking colours than the slightly more gaudy original paint I think. Ben.

      Very flattering! Thank you. I think I'm in standard tuning, but with a low D on the bottom, but...I've tuned all of that down a half step, so standard tuning in E flat with a low D flat. Hope that makes sense! I have no idea why I've done that, I probably didn't realise when I made the guide track! Thanks again, Ben.
