Agree, but it's alright if they take longer. They lost me at the 3xOSC part; I have the Distructor and Fruity Delay 3 plugin on my 3xOSC, but it sounds nothing like in the video. I haven't even filled in my Piano Roll in at this point. Tutorials like this should be step by step. I don't care if they take up three hours instead of 15 minutes. TH-cam has an amazing feature nowadays where you can see chapters. And creators have also the possibility to give a more detailed chapter index (with sub-chapters) and timestamps in the Description, for whenever things are going too slow for the more advanced. But for us noobs, the ones more likely to watch videos like this, videos should be baby step by baby step.
WE NEED MORE OF THESE TUTORIALS !!! Paired with your efficient way of explaining and showing examples, it’s just perfect. I think we got a house, DnB and Psytrance tut now, how bout some Hybrid Trap, Phonk or Cyberpunk/MidTempo next ? ✌️🥳
Am from Nigeria and I make Afrobeats, still its pleasant how watching this tutorial which is so different from my genre can still have a great impact to me due to the DAWs functionalities employed. I love this genre too. I hope to get to it someday. It is still used in movies and other applications in my country.
FL Studio is the gift that keeps on giving, _seriously_ . Because even though I really enjoyed myself while watching this video, thing is that I prefer a more hands on interaction with the patterns section. Yah, IMO it is that freedom in following your own preferred workflow which makes 'Studio' such a powerful and awesome envrionment to work with. Thanks for the video!
FL Studio is like a great electric guitar. When you play, it disappears in your hands and only you and music in your head remain. Golden forever. Thank You.
actually one of the best tutorials I have ever seen, thank you so much! I really like that you make something but do not show it exactly so we are forced to experiment and find our way to do it, it helps explore and learn more stuff in the process
Well done for making a guide on psy trance!) On 4:22 I thought about this approach. I'll have to try the options. In all my tracks the first note is taken out.
I would keep the bass as sawtooth with a cutoff envelope and instead of doing the patcher stuff, add a lot of maximus or other multiband stuff to enhance the chemical feeling. Would have been nice if phase alignment was mentioned, since that is a really popular method to avoid sub cancellation in every second step of a beat. The arrangment- and synth part of the video was really good though.
Its so nice to have this FL tutorials, they are very intuitive to follow! But few things to note here: it is not good at all to have the first bassline note sounding, its coliding with the kick and you dont really want that... and personally i dont dig the phaser automation thing in the bass, never seen nobody doing that in proper psytrance tracks. The first bass pluck sound without phaser was nice, you can keep it interesting by doing changes in the tone and rythm i think! The rest was very nice, i like the melodies, fx, drums and arrangement
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT? MORE OF THIS PLEASE (But with more emphasis on Psy trance and less on the super basic Playlist tutorials covered here) :D
The emphasis in psytrance is your part. Its a great toturial fro psytrance base kit for FL Studio, back in the days there was 0 videos about FL, still using it till this very day tho! 👽🛸
@@Daniel_innersightmusic a) The video was uploaded 8 months ago (ie 2024) "still using it till this very day" says absolutely nothing. b) It is titled "FL Studio | Psytrance tutorial" not "FL Studio | Basics" . It offers little to no knowledge when it comes to things specific to Psytrance while spending most of its time going over things covered time and again in other tutorials. I'm glad this video has helped you produce whatever it is you are producing...but it's more clickbait than Psytrance tutorial. Ps. "The emphasis in psytrance is your part" is one of the most asinine things one could respond with, when the title of the video is "Psytrance tutorial" ... god forbid we ask them to stick to what the subject actually is instead of glossing over it..
@@Daniel_innersightmusic I wasn't on that vibe until you decided to white knight for no reason. Who knew that telling people something akin to "it's your fault, sh*t works for me" would be met with a negative response...certainly not you.
@@Thanos1908 Clearly you dont know this but im gonna tell you. You can't find psytrance videos on FL studio because people tend to use other DAW's. "Shit works for me " clearly does, go check my Psytrance everything is made on FL Studio. And Another thing I can tell you is, you need to rearrange your search method, if you want to learn how make more "emphasis" whatever that is, you need to search for sound desing, lead arrangment and melodic structure. Being bitchin about emphasis on a drum kit video is just pitty. Be humble, and try to learn something from someone that spend a little time trying to give you a good advice, instead of being like you are. Hope you could learn something today.
😊 Fabulous tutorial, filled to the brim with handy tips and tools, thank you so much for this! This even sparked some new ideas! Love to see more like this, 😉 and how about showing Love Philter and Sytrus a little more love?
Its only been an hour and i see this video damn fl community is the best ever. What did i just watch why its so informative. Next time pls more details and if possible dubstep or ambient. Fl ♥️🥭♥️
Hey FL Studio team, I've been loving using your software for my music production, but I have a suggestion for the next update. It would be awesome if you could add more recording features, especially for punch-in vocals. Having smoother and more efficient tools for recording vocals would really streamline my workflow and make the creative process even more enjoyable. Keep up the great work!"
Been using FL Studio for many years. I am a n00b and have alot of health problems, like only 1 working ear. "5 Brain Operations" .. When i see how you use FL Studio, the workflow i see i use it all wrong. i make 1 pattern, put it in the playlist and then make a new pattern and put it in the playlist.. so i end up with one row in the playlist with patterns, and some rows with automations. I dont have much energy, so i never really learned anything about music making, its all self learned. I dont really know why i write here, but i wanna say thx for all the videos and updates you guys make. ty very much. I use FL Studio to forget real life a bit, move focus onto something else, and its fun to make music even my music is nothing to write home about.. :D I have 2 Tracks i am workig on, on my channel, as i only have one ear, i have no clue if there is any weird stereo problems, i forgot to convert them to mono before uploading them. Ohh and also, i freaking LOVE the FL Cloud, a few samples can make you keep going when you are stuck. I only use drum samples for now, but i can see there are tons of things :D Love from Denmark. Michael, 47 ..
This was excellent. Any chance you could make a HardStyle one next. Let’s see just how skilful you guys are at producing them distorted kicks and uplifting melodies. 😅
Which genre would you like to see next? FL Studio customers can grab the demo project here: forum.image-line.com/viewtopic.php?p=1944831#p1944831
We want a clone track in the playlist to have the same send routing in the mix as the original track

Ambient should be one of the easiest genres to produce, just put a lot of reverb on everything and use a slow bpm. Melody should be heavenly.

You guys should do longer tutorials like music production, music theory, and mix and mastering in fl studio thank you!
More of this please!!!
Very cool. Did you ever do a synthwave tutorial like this? I would also love a reggae dub tutorial.
Those are both on the list now :D
8:21 love this song
you guys should add a plus button on the insert channels, allowing you to add as many fx slots as you want. it gets a bit annoying with only 10.
