- With 27.88 seconds to beat, we challenged Sean Crocker, Nicolai Højgaard, Wilco Nienaber and Min Woo Lee to break the ridiculously tough Guinness World Records title for the fastest hole of golf by a team of four.
Shot on the 501-yard par five fourth hole at Real Club Valderrama, introducing the second Hero Challenge of 2021...

Second shot was the key.
I think it is the most difficult position to be in, too.
Not only does he have hit it close, he has to be right there where the first shot ends. And that is a moving point.
Variable distance, has to run to get to it, want the ball to just stop right by the pin.
Second shot guy did all the work
Absolutely, good drive that has the distance but stops rolling is huge, but 2nd shot definitely most important.

Sean Crocker nailed it with the hardest task, he had to run to the ball, steady himself, swing quickly AND hit it straight the pin, pin high.
For some reason I thought they’re were going to sprint to the next shot after each one 😆

I mean it makes more sense to me. Golf is a one man sport, so when someone says fastest golf hole, I assume it's one guy. Like this isn't how golf is played. So I get your point.

Last year he averaged 341 yards. Which is longer than Bryson Dechambeau. Also beats Bryson in longest drive last year when he hit a 439 yarder. He’s the longest driver on the European Tour.

@@murphythedog789 Yep Nilco is a beast and is pretty casual with his swing. Makes you wonder what he'd be doing if he went full send speed training like Bryson does.

Could also be the players. The Europeans seems to have more fun and seem to be willing to put themselves in funny/laughable situations more so than the American Pros.

The distance the first guy hit was amazing. But the second shot was crucial.

What was insane about it?
I seem to remember wilco hit a 444 yard drive in SA this year..apparently when he hits the range pre round several other pros always hang around to watch him..seems very easy going also..this looked like good fun
The approach shot was the toughest position to be in.
The amount of people around the world that is now going to try and bet 24.75 will be unbeliveable lol , knocking a full 3 seconds of the world is brilliant , well done lads

That was pretty cool! be interesting to see them all packed out and spread over a whole course and see how quick they manage that! (probably a logistical nightmare for that many players, but it would be good!)
I don't think you'd need one person for every shot, have a team of like 10-15 with carts and you hit and move to the front of the line. Once the ball drops in the hole the next tee shot can go. Anybody can hit in any order too so if you have a longer hitter like Wilco moving up to a position, he can send the person waiting on a tee box up to do whatever.

As more tour pros try this youre going to see the time save is going to be drive to the rough so it stops instantly, then a three quarter swing on the approach with no setup, then bunker into a hole out, and at some point an approach shot hole out.
Time saves. Gotta optimize that speedrun!
came here to say what you did. Hit it in the rough to immediately stop the ball. would definitely shave a few seconds.
Water the fairways! Don't mow them so tight. Have Wilco hit a cut that stops.
Won’t be able to stop the approach shot out of the rough, though. Would have to pick a hole where you could run it up on the green. But either way, you lose time on the ground.
Wilco, Min Woo and Højgaard are gonna be some of the greats coming from the international side mark my words.

That was super fast. The hole makes a big difference. A flatter green would spin back less. However, it looks like the second shot guy clubbed up to a pitching wedge after several attempts to take some spin off the ball.

The guy driving these out there is a rocket; but, he definitely needs some work on consistency. The guy picking them up and chucking them to the green on the second shot is something else, to be able to set and hit that accuracy so quickly.
At this point the 4th person is superfluous. No World Record going forward will be achieved with par

The fastest hole of golf would be a hole in one...but but only one person hit the bank and the other three didn't... yeah well, only 3 people had strokes for this "4 person" record. Still cool to see though and really impressive to see the ball go from tee to hole that quickly.
I kept thinking how much time the ball spent in the air from the drive. I was wondering if lower trajectory runners would work seeing as it was only a par 4.
This needs to be an OFFICIAL game I'd watch this on t.v.

I just admire their unwavering perseverance trying over and over again until they finally make it. That is the greatest part of being an excellent athlete.
