The second stretch of the Collegiate West route of the Colorado Trail from Sheep Gulch to Cottonwood Pass. We pass Lake Ann and at lunch someone sees a moose, a herd of cattle try to have a staring contest, and an unexpected thunderstorm comes out of no where as we approach Cottonwood Pass.

Beautiful video. I hiked that segment in July (we woke with the cows the day hit Cottonwood Pass) and remember all the highlights you covered. I took few pic and little video and am thankful for yours!
Oh, Kent and Spork are so cute! Ouch. Late night getting there. Wow! Those views!
So jealous I look so amazing there my wife is going to Denver next month hopefully she gets some hiking time in
Moose and Squirrel Boris and Natasha and Spork.👍
It’s not just moose that are dangerous; squirrels too, especially the ones that fly.
Scenery looks Great!!! Do you let Spork drink directly from the streams or do you filter all his water for him?
He drinks from the streams but Kent is really picky about not letting him drink from puddles or anything stagnant
Lolol.....Kent's trail has got to be....well, you know what. (Begins with an M)
I would ha e to say the most dangerous animal on the trail is the Jabberwocky. Don't beleive me? Check out the 1977 film of the same name. 😁
