The time was right. The money was right. I'm sure Gary and Matt will use the funds wisely. Good luck for the future Pedro and thanks for some unforgettable moments.
To be fair, for an injury prone player, this is a good deal. However, the fee means nothing if the owners are not going to re-invest it in the team. All said, Neto gave us magical moments, always gave it his all for us, and for his professionalism and attitude, I sincerely wish him all the best.
Good content again Dan. IMO - player swap deals rarely work out, simply because, in the instance of Skipp - he was never on our list of players to scout. It's been widely reported that Wolves have an interest in Almeida at Valencia. A player swap may work in this instance between Almeida-Guedes for example, as both teams have expressed their respective mutual interest in these players
Great player, wish him all the best. At least Levy at Spurs isn't calling the shots offering pennies right up to the last hour of the window. We have time now and we must get another good CB. Rodrigo and Chiq can soften the blow of the loss. Wolves had to sell an asset for that amount of money when he has so far only ever completed half seasons
I love Neto at his peak. However he has to play at full throttle to be effective. When he doesn’t he’s not that damaging. That’s the problem, when he plays at that limit he is so vulnerable to injury. Hence why he’s only been available for 42% of the games for us. I wish him well, just not against us obviously
selling class players will weaken the team whoever they might buy as replacements have not played in the team and will again weaken the team untill they get up to speed i think we are going to struggle
We've been expecting his move for months (not to Chelsea admittedly) but we were expecting it. I say we take it and move on. Good luck to him, he's a phenomenal player but with the Injury Record, that's not bad money. Providing we don't lose RAN too I'm happy enough. Should we lose RAN though (I believe L-Pool are still circling and struggling in the market too) that'd be another matter altogether. Confident enough with what I've seen Pre Season so if we've still got incomings (which looks likely) I think we're in for a good season. I still want to see Chiqinho and Mosquera stay too.
My concern is how much of the money will be reinvested into the squad? Another CB hasn't come in after Kilman. I know Mosquera's returned, but will the same happen with the sale of Neto, with Gomes covering the position. Neto fit is a top-class player. However, his minutes per season are poor. Maybe £60m could've been a fairer deal ?
@wolfpackwwfc Hopefully, there will be some more incomings soon. Wolves' profiling the £15-£20m shows there's some good players in that bracket, rather than risking the upper bracket like Silva, and getting stuck with an average player.
Shame but for an injury prone player that’s a good bit of business maybe we could’ve got a little bit of a higher fee but I ain’t gonna be stingeh about it we’ve only sold 2 players and have had a load of loan returns and have signed 4 decent players who have time to evolve and get better I’m sure we will be fine. Wish Neto all the best just a bit surprised it was Chelsea. At least we got GON on a new contract. COYW Btw are we gonna talk about the fact Podence on his insta story is wearing a oxygen mask? Tf happened to him?

Hobbs will cook for sure. Don't worry
Who else is a Chelsea fan wondering how a Wolves fan would feel about the deal?

Thanks man!
Ywah exactly that its okay swapping but you need players that have been identified we've seen how effective that is

That is one thing having time is key!
Glad I am not the only person aware of Levy’s poison.
Will miss Pedro loads but it is his time to go. The dominos are falling...
That's the best way to look at it tbh
Still hurts, but he’s been great for the seasons he was here.
I agree Kris I think it's time really tbh helps our cause
Unfortunately WOLVES are a selling club just hope they buy some players in.
All clubs are selling clubs.. every player has a price. And he's been with the club ages
@@wolfpackwwfc the squad is to small they always seem to run on a thin line to compete.
Look best of luck to him
However he hasn't played a full season in 2 seasons. So 54 million pounds is great.
We need to look for a replacement..
Exactly it's time ain't it!
🔵🔵🔵
1 replacement I would love is baris alper yilmaz we could get him for about 25-30 million
I think the club likely had alot of replacements lined up already tbh

Where were the protests, could barely hear a pin drop??
Massively raise the ticket prices then sell our best player, totally disgusted.
Will be a test now to see how much of that 100m will be spent

There's good and bad to this business model. Look at Doyle for Nunes.

Yeah it had to happen really.. we could risk him being injured again and his price getting even lower!
@@wolfpackwwfc Chelsea fans appear to be buzzing off it.

Likely that they've waited for this sale before going ahead with anymore sales.

I doubt it.m
