I ended up getting the Triceraton. I had loads of fun with it. Surprised he was regular price and not $65-75 since he a big figure. He had tons of accessories which seems to be rare nowadays for Super7. The presence and accessories is what did it for me. It still has some negatives like the paint on the knees and the short arms that can’t fully bend because of the gauntlets other than that pretty good.
If you're gonna "go back" I would highly recommend either Scumbug or Wingnut. Solid figures, great sculpts, nice paint, and really good accessories. I recently picked up Triceraton and he's decent but not a must-have imo
I have a Triceraton in my pile of loot. Just waiting for the Hammer Dracula figure to arrive before I ship it. I really only feel comfortable paying full price when it's a large figure like that. At this point the only figure on my wishlist is Groundchuck. If they make him, I'm essentially done with the line. Even with smaller production runs, I'm comfortable waiting for sales because they still aren't selling out at full price on BBTS' site. Heck, they dropped Slash all the way down to $15 (which is a steal. great figure), and the Mouser 5-pack was $25 (another amazing deal) from what I recall, and both of those can still be found on their site. Great figures. Couldn't even give them away.
I believe (and could be wrong) Guerilla Gorilla is his original name. Playmates had to change it due to some imaginary controversy of selling a mercenary to children. At the time G.I Joe popularity was on the rise😂
Wild! I picked just two and got a completely different two. Triceraton for nostalgia and Robot Bebop because S7 went HARD with Robot Rocksteady and it's just a cool toy. I'm not as attached to GG. Love Don but Slam Dunkin' Don is my "definitive" Don variant. Although if you toss S.D. Don the spare head from Punker Don, you get Dennis Rodman Don. So I was tempted by the two you picked. For me, Metalhead Mikey was the easy pass and would only be interesting alongside the Gargoyle TMNT as I vaguely recall that whoever wrote those filecards in the vintage line went NUTS and did them as a storyline. Where I want to say Don and Leo became EVIL gargoyles, Raph was dead, and Metalhead Mikey was the lone hero? The Playmates filecards for this and Star Trek both got pretty cracked around the same point so I think it was Playmates. There's a DS9 Picard figure that's Picard on a Bashir body (with two extra rank pins painted on) you'd think was making up for his Generations figure having a concept art uniform. But no! The figure's included bio says he's an evil lower ranked alternate universe Picard who I think is implied to have actually painted the two extra pins on his neck and is invading DS9, in a weird twist with no media to support it. Playmates bios, man!
Triceraton was my favorite TMNT fig so definitely had to pick the S7 one up. Looks amazing, definitely captures the original figure in a larger, more detailed and more articulated manner, I love it. Kinda hope they reuse the mold and make Shogun Triceraton.
Super 7 HAS to make Rocker Raph, right? RIGHT??? Man, I'm so bummed that it feels like the end of the road for this line. I have such a long list of figures I'd still want: Shogun Shoate, Napoleon Bonafrog, Hot Spot, Wyrm, Groundchuck, Dirtbag, Halfcourt, Super Shredder, Lionheart, Panda Khan, and MANY MORE... Warriors of the Forgotten Sewer figs??? And the impossible dream of Universal TMNT in Playmates style, Olympics TMNT, ... and I'd even suggest Wild West TMNT but the Playmates figures are already basically perfect and today's climate would never allow for those to be made? Did I forget anything? lol
I’m with you on Dirtbag and Groundchuck. Those were two of my favorites. I think General Traag and Antrax would be cool too. These being made would make this a true Ultimate line up for me.
I went with Triceraton and Punker Don. I love them both. I really hope they do Dirtbag, Groundchuck and Heavy Metal Raph (Whatever the music Raphael figure was called) to complete the music turtles.
hahahaha... that's hilarious because I chose the OTHER two figures in this wave, and I love them! I would have been totally in for an actual Sergeant Bananas but it is what it is
I recently gave in and started buying figures. Within a few weeks i got the Jim lawsons, the playmates 2012s, the idw ones and the mezco 5 points. Turtles are dangerous man because there's so many choices. From now on I'm only getting new releases that i really like. Otherwise I'll go bankrupt over time.
Robotic bebop is super great, too. But I realize he's more of a niche character and if you don't have robot rocksteady, prob not what you want to splurge on. Unless you want to get robo rocky, too. Those 2 from the Playmates line were 2 of my most favorite figures as a kid. So it was a no brainer for me to get them.
I dont think they fixed the loose joints at all, I think its purely luck of manufacturing variation. Even my Gorillia, Triceraton and Robotic Rocksteady I can feel the joints already getting loose. Still of them but I don't think Super7 has it em them to make tight joints for some reason. Metalhead is very loose to but I don't know if that counts cause they just slapped an old figure back in.
Mad hatter you don't have to collect everything. Just collect what you want, then forget the rest. I'm going to cherry pick, a couple TMNT S7 figures. I stopped collecting S7 TMNT, bc I can't collect everything, I would if I had the space. With everything else I'm collecting, I just don't have the space. I'm only going to get maybe 6 at most. Raphael and Raphael undercover. Karai, tricereton infantry man, and if they make Panda Kahn and Usagi yojimbo.
I am not into the variants of the turtles, so I will always pick the original versions of all heroes and villains before a variant of the main characters
You Gave Super7 the Hatter Bump...that 'lil companies going somewhere😁 no for real. 'Glad the quality (sculpt)and quantity (accessories) are meeting your expectations. The matte paint also defines the sculpt better. This is art. You made the right choice. Like the olde Mr.Hero commercial 🎶You got to follow your 🫶✌️
Hatter, you are missing out if you don't get the whole wave. Maybe skip the Mike but I love him myself, love his colors now I'd like to have them all in robot mode.
I hate rights too because these companies aren't using them to make us happy. Playmates doesn't produce the type of toys the Super7 market wants. Not sure why they couldn't find an agreeable compromise. I also cherry picked. Guerrilla Gorilla was the one I passed on. Not attached enough to him and I just shudder to think where I'd have room for him. Have to save space for the Mondo TMNT!

Playmates bios, man!
Can you imagine if they redid Guerrilla Gorilla as a glow-in-the-dark figure? I think I might have to buy that one.
Guerrilla Gorilla was actually a character created for the TMNT magazine.
Triceraton was my favorite TMNT fig so definitely had to pick the S7 one up. Looks amazing, definitely captures the original figure in a larger, more detailed and more articulated manner, I love it. Kinda hope they reuse the mold and make Shogun Triceraton.

Heavy Metal Raph and Undercover Don are my most anticipated S7 figures... I really hope we get them someday!

I got gorilla to go with my Neca toon tmnt. Great fig! I cherry pick as well. And this was my first super 7 tmnt(I do have some joes & thundercats)
I love My Guerilla Gorilla.. the banana launcher and sunglasses make the deal...also Scratch is another awesome pick
hahahaha... that's hilarious because I chose the OTHER two figures in this wave, and I love them! I would have been totally in for an actual Sergeant Bananas but it is what it is

I like the glass shelves first thing to buy for collectors still don't have any still ordering action figures like a Madman
Both of these look pretty sweet! Nice pick ups.
2:20 that sound...I thought it came from my house. Took off my headphones 😅
I see a Gi Joe Tiger Force team up..
Guerrilla Gorilla is a no Brainer man...😃💡👍

You gotta get the Tricerator.
Get the Triceraton. His arm articulation begs for double joints for sure, but he’s still a delight.
I don't own any of them but if I only could pick two from wave 7 I would prooooobably go with the Triceraton and Donnie.
Punker Don without discussion and without remorse 🤘😸🎸
I brought, Punker Don and Triceraton.
These are two great figures. Drives me wild my Punker Dons legs are loose as fuck though
I dont think they fixed the loose joints at all, I think its purely luck of manufacturing variation. Even my Gorillia, Triceraton and Robotic Rocksteady I can feel the joints already getting loose. Super7 is a TMNT line I don't collect at all. But they look good
Hatter and only buying 2 in the same sentence. Never would have thought those words would be in the sentence.

I'm bananas for this figure!
I intermix Super7, NECA and even some BST AXN, scale be damned!
In the netherlands they cost 95 dollar each, to expensive super 7.....📍
Why donnie remind me of that one Stone Protector
Making me contemplate my decision!
Hatter, you are missing out if you don't get the whole wave. Maybe skip the Mike but I love him myself, love his colors now I'd like to have them all in robot mode.
first year living in a house will defs tighten the budgy!

Are the April's not in wave 7 cause I was considering picking both of them and April from turtles of grayskull and splinter
Do you keep the packaging or toss it?
You should have choose one of the aprils
gotta be wave 7
Damn you didn't get Triceraton?? I got the triceraton only. He was one of my favorite as a kid!
I dont know about that Don, pass for me.
that is a big ass gorilla
Aww. Guerilla's a must but, no Triceraton? Dude, he's wicked sweet. So worth the wait. Bad guys over turtle variants any day.
Mad hatter you my guy but don’t fall into consumerism. Collect what you like and f all them others.
