The most cheatingist seasons are the ones where the pitcher was expected to rub the ball with mud and tobacco and cut the cover to increase the likelihood of killing a batter.

Y'know, there's NO WAY that any height requirement for MLB would hold up today. If the commissioner tried to void Eddie Gaedel's contract today, he'd be picketed out of office and easily defeated in court under the Americans With Disabilities Act. Thankfully, I'm pretty sure any decent pitcher today could hit the strike zone, so those types of shenanigans probably will never come into play.

In terms of steroids, I always get a chuckle out of the "it doesn't make a guy see the ball better". No one ever said it did, just that the extra strength gained from it turns a warning track ball into a home run, and a home run into hitting into the upper deck of Three Rivers Stadium.😂

Might just be me, but pitchers using sandpaper or something to get a better grip on the ball would be nice to see some crazy curves. Could risk being hit by pitches in the long run with more people curling them, but would be WAYYY harder to hit. Would make the matchup more fair.

I'm actually quite surprised by that. I thought since we had over A century of World series that's a lot more than two would have had every home game won. And then the most recent World series in 2019 every victory was by the team on the road.

Cheating is and always will be a big part of baseball, I guarantee half the teams in the league do something like the astros did. Corked bats, steroids, anything that can curve a baseball, illegal sign stealing. None of these things are ok, but they're never going to stop, and your team has most likely done one of those things at some point. Some teams (like the astros) get more flack, as deserved, but it's stupid to pretend they are the only ones.
