    This episode is just pure emotion because Deku and Bakugo just can't work things out. Bakugo is so obsessed with not running away that he's neglecting strategy. But Deku is so focused on All Might being his idol that the only thing on his mind is to run away. He's not even considering fighting as an option. And the moment either party closes themselves off to a potential other idea, failure is on the horizon. So them both finally deciding to work together hits so much harder. Bakugo was willing to hurt himself just so Deku could have a chance at victory, and Deku was willing to compromise the victory he would've had just to help Bakugo. Their friendship is a little rocky but I loved the way they came together in this episode. The "Origin" episodes are always a blast.
    Now, onward to the villains...

      So in a way, the test, if brutal and gruelling, did its job and made them both work in things then both sorely needed. UA has some good teachers.

    This episode is very important because it shows us how both Deku and Bakugo made mistakes, Deku made the mistake of being blinded by his admiration, watch out here, Bakugo also admires All Might a lot, just as Deku does but Bakugo has intentions to surpass AM while Deku simply continued with the mentality that he admires him and that All Might is definitely invincible, so for that very reason he didn't even have the intention of fighting. Now Bakugo, he made the same mistake as always, he is so obsessed in his own expectations and insecurities that he doesn't listen to anyone, he didn't even use his strategies (since Bakugo is pretty good at it) and he just wanted to do things alone because he he still believes that everyone looks down on him, so yes, it was a good lesson for both.

      I agree with everything you said. 10/10. Deku definitely loses himself in admiration from all might. Excited to see where he goes from here, as in becoming his own hero.

    Bakugo's mindset where Heroes should always win is valid and true because if you're losing against a villain, then you fail as a hero for not saving people by defeating the villain. When you're already and working as a pro hero, there's no way you should care more about growing up, all you need to do focus on just saving people whatever it takes.

    • @shelbydeal6342
      @shelbydeal6342 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Okay. I just think its a bit unrealistic to expect to win every time. But it makes sense that that is Bakugo's mindset or any hero. Because does anyone go into a fight expecting to lose?

    • @Rensuke_Hero-gami
      @Rensuke_Hero-gami 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@shelbydeal6342 True. Nobody is wanting to lose in a fight, especially if that person is a hero.

      @@shelbydeal6342 it is unrealistic expectation but to be fair bakugo is ideology came from the number one hero. All might was number one at the top meaning he was basically unbeatable there weren't really cases where he lost there were cases struggled but as a number one hero he always overcame the odds and thats the part bakugo idolizes. bakugo thinks that to become like all might he needs to put himself on the exact same expectations meaning he should always win.

    I love these reactions lol they both amuse and frustrate me, but that's a good thing. Btw, and I"m pretty sure other people will say it, but Bakugo's not wrong about "Heroes always win." If a hero loses, people die. Plain and simple. Deku and Bakugo are both right. Saving people is the priority, but to do that, you MUST win. But yeah, keep the reactions going.

  • @zangetsu1597

    All Might was referring to Bakugo as the level 50 power and Deku as the level 1 power btw. This concept applies to working out in real life. The avg new starter will improve faster than the avg, seasoned fit person.
    Though I think it's fine to dislike Bakugo or any character, his interpretation of a hero is based on All Might, who has [factually] always won every fight that has been publicized. Sure he likely lost some in his earlier days, but in Bakugo's lifetime, All Might just has not lost. Obviously flawed characters like Bakugo, Endeavor, Stain, etc, are the most interesting imo because their flaws.

      It applies to learning in general I think. Very VERY few are like Allmight.

    It's also jarring for me to see reactions so harsh to Bakugo. Mostly I think because I relate to him. He is molded by society in all the worst ways. He's been told his whole life this quirk is amazing and you have to do great things with it, and by the time he hits this age he's put all that pressure into a central pillar of his ethics. If he's not able to even scratch All Mights potential, or prove himself then he feels like he's failed by his own standards. Deku realizes this mid fight, not that Bakugo is being more defiant than normal but that he's made it a vendetta to win the fight not just pass. Deku sees Bakugo as the symbol of victory in his mind, so he gets so emotional watching Bakugo faulter in his morals. Winning means saving peoples lives, that's what All Might was to Bakugo. All Might never lost, so Bakugo believes he can't either or he's worthless.
    Also, I quickly caught onto Bakugos language of using die and I'll kill you. It's like an emotional crutch or tik. It comes out as a defensive and offensive gesture, meant to intimidate the other and at the same time make himself seem intimidating, giving a confidence boost. Puffing your chest and telling yourself I'm the best... If you think about it, someone needing to do that all the time is really insecure. This all comes to light more as the show progresses, but really Bakugo needs a lot of character development and moments like this fight to change his mind. Battle and strength is what he respects most, so to grow he needs to be spoken to in his language. 🧡💥
    Keep up the reactions, and buckle up for the ride

    • @shelbydeal6342
      @shelbydeal6342 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Okay, I like the point of All Might never loses so Bakugo thinks he's worthless if he does. Brings up a bigger conversation I think about role models and perfectionism that I didn't catch on the first watch.

    Every episode that focuses on Bakugou and Midoriya is honestly just so freaking intense. I got anxious just from this and I’ve seen it multiple times. Midoriya could’ve easily ran out of the gate and they both would have passed but he went back for Bakugou anyway. I honestly just can’t wait to see y’all react to season three. I won’t say any spoilers but it’s my favorite season. Fun fact, Bakugou has won every popularity poll to date except for the very first one which went to Midoriya.

    I think y'all missed a big part of what Bakugo did in this episode, especially that he scored higher on the finals exam than Deku. Thet both were wrong originally. Deku wanted to run cause All Might is overpowering. Bakugo understood that wouldn't work, because they couldn't outrun All Might. He's THAT fast. Same for fighting him head to head, he's too strong. The only option that would work was fighting him in order to create an opening to escape.
    And Bakugo believes that a true hero always wins because he also idolizes All Might, who never loses. It's a different type of way to inspire. It's like being in trouble, and then Superman or Batman shows up. You feel like they won't lose, no matter what happens. That's the way that Kachan approaches being a hero, as to never lose, to anyone, anywhere. To defeat villains, always.

    Honestly I’m here for all the trash talk on Bakugo, because so far, he deserves all of it 😆
    At least there is a glimpse of starting to work together this episode, though very much only a glimpse. Deku almost progressed more this episode than Bakugo.

    Even with everything that's happened in the anime and the manga, I still hate Bakugo with the white-hot intensity of a thousand, thousand suns. If I could script it either:
    1. Bakugo is mortally wounded and says to Deku, "Deku...I'm sorry...for everything...please. forgive me."
    Deku replies, "No. You physically, verbally and emotionally tortured me for over a decade! You go to hell! You go to hell and you die!'
    OR
    2. Bakugo challenges Deku, who can now use One for ALL at 100%. Deku stands over Bakugo's broken, bleeding and crippled body swaying back and forth saying, "Who's the bitch now?" Then Bakugo becomes like Biff from Back to the Future.
