    I remember when the Hotshot came out, it was so high tech with the 4WD and the single shocks.
    I still think it's a beauty, thanks for having us along my friend.

    The best Hop up is always switching from a NIMH battery to a lipo , took me awhile to figure it out . Pretty good impersonation of the guy doing the Tamiya commercials to Steve .

    Such a cool place you got there for the speed tests, Steve. Not sure what it is in kph (what about converting it on screen for the rest of the world - just a thought). But +3 mph for the LiPo was surprising. Was the NiMH freshly charged? Voltage on NimH’s drops quickly if it sits on the table for too long. Anyways, it was nice to see the blue Hotshot again. Always a treat. Good job with the voice over. Hope your mic can be fixed.

    • @ShenRC
      @ShenRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks I had to buy a new mic but also have one GPS video from when the mic broke that I still have to do. Nims fully charged and ready to go. I think I will go out tomorrow and do a couple more GPS tests on some new RC's. Thanks for watching.

    Cool video, can I just ask if you ran it in 4wd? I drop the front drive shafts out of my super hotshot to make it 2wd and a bit faster, not easy to handle but lots of fun!

    lol, cool vid. what rear wheel adaptors do you use?

    • @ShenRC
      @ShenRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi those rear things I used are a vintage part CRP I think, I purchased on e-bay that you can use up front or in the rear they are slipper clutches so you can loosen the wheel nuts or tighten them up to let the slippers slip so the tires wont break loose. Thanks for watching.

  • @winterhammermodels
    @winterhammermodels 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    the flap underneath the batterytray looks cool. is tihs a selfmade part? and whats the purpose? nice buggy too. very cool

    • @ShenRC
      @ShenRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi thank you, It's a vintage part I think CRP made it back in the day, It protects the rear A arms in a crash or if you hit something in front of the wheel so it stops the A arm from snapping off. probably does something else but I am not 100% sure on this. 😁

    Hi again. Sorry I keep posting on your old videos 😅. Anyways. Any long term review with this 21t motor in your hotshot? I’m wanting to put 21T in all my hotshot family’s but wondering how the diffs and gears hold up. I AW grease all my diff gears.. want something a little better than a sport tuned and my motor of choice are the holmes hobbies retro sports because of the internal fan for cooling. Thanks 👍
