Very interesting engineering on this release. I think it actually has an amazing coat, that I wish was copied by Mezco/SHF/any company going for cloth material. I'm really not a fan of the mushy torso, 'cause I think it won't age well and it does look weird when you force it but other than that...nice Hellboy.
The soft plastic works well for storm collectibles. I own the entire MK line, and a good chunk of street fighter, and there hasn’t been any problem at all with any of their soft torsos. Can’t speak for this hellboy, but soft plastic for the body isn’t a bad thing imo.
I have had my Hellboy since release last year and i just wanted to stop by and let you know how he has held up. He is flawless lol love this figure and tbh he is the figure that really got me to start collecting big time. Now i own over a 100 figures lol. I got real big into Mezcos and i grab certain Neca pieces if they catch my attention. I am loving the Storm collectibles DC figures but haven't been able to get a Doomsday yet. But back to Hellboy, I use mine for photos and he has held up really well. As far as I can tell nothing wrong with his soft plastic goods and it was really having me wish my Spawn kickstarter would have copied the torso idea but oh well.
2024 : this looks amazing. . Does this review still apply to the same figure from the 30th anniversary 1000Toys Hellboy revealed recently? Or did they perhaps add improvements?
@@DerMessiasderSatire The real one is def better. The KO is fine too but the quality is def better on the real deal. For the KO, The joints are dif, the overall figure is smaller, but the Right Hand of Doom I may like a little better since the pins in the fingers aren't shiny metal looking and therefor the hand looks less robotic.
I really, really enjoy your video reviews - just fantastic work, man. I don't know if you've ever spoke about it before, but where (or who) did you get your various backgrounds from? They really highlight the figures well, and are works of art in unto themselves. I just added this guy to my BBTS Pile of Loot, and I can't wait to get him in hand. So amazing!
They use official pics most of the time, so you don't know how it really looks until you get it in hand. I've tried a few KO figs from AliExpress, and they all ended up in the trash.

Hey So I've had my 1000Toys Hellboy for a good while now and when I first received him and started messing with him, his right arm began to squeak really badly. Ever since then I've been really scared to pull off his hand because I'm nervous I've damaged his arm somehow, and I'm scared that if I pull it off it's going to break. I want to remove the hand to remove the jacket and pose him and add other stuff to it, but this has prevented me from doing so. Do you know of any good solutions for any of this? Thanks for the vid, man! Keep it up!
@@DAmazing I tried that initially the day or two after I got it. And nothing really seemed to work. I'll try it again though and if there's still issues I'll probably reach back out. I was also told/-recommended using hot water and dipping the joint in to loosen it. If that would work? Or do you think that might mess up the figure even more?
@@DAmazing I tried the hot water part (I guess it wasn't hot enough) because it isn't working. I tried the blow drying part too. Doesn't seem to work either. Tbf, I probably could make the water hotter and the have left the blow dryer on longer. To make it even worse, the entire right arm popped off at the shoulder, and it's not wanting to fully click back on. I'll keep trying tho

This is probably my favorite 1/12th release this year so far. I absolutely adore this figure and as always banging shots at the end D-Amazing.

Looks really cool. I have the old Mezco ones, and I wouldn't trade them for anything. Love the articulated hand but I think it is way too big.

Use a hair dryer on the arm to heat it up and gently remove it.

Yes boiling water works best but i didn’t recommend cause you said you couldn’t get the jacket off yet
