We have the same LTE router we can not fault it to be honest we first used it on its own as a standalone item we then decided to get an external aerial . Credit to you fitting it yourself I’m fairly Good at diy mods but drilling the roof I decided to get a dedicated Motorhome service place to fit the aerial 👍👍 9:37

The first time I drilled a hold in the M/H was a little nerve racking - I've done a few now, and will do it again, should the need arise. £10 for a hole saw is probably quite cheap compared with someone else doing it for you.

Excellent job with the install there, always worrying when drilling a hole 😮
Looks a decent router, I got a 5G puct similar to you but currently have a 4G router.
    All the best, David 👍

Thanks David. After the first hole, the other ones went easy (Solar and so on). Our puck is multiband, good for 4G and 5G. The router upgrade is actually saving us £20 a month:). Pete & Kaz 👍😀👍😀

We have a broken antenna on the roof but it has made very little difference up here, we either have a signal or we don't LOL I suppose I should change it though just in case.

It’s better for the antenna to be outside. The puck boosts by about 3dB. To get 5G, you have to be in coverage, this is rare cat the moment, but terminating 3G should free up a useful chunk of spectrum. We’ll get lots more folks complaining about those tall 5G masts, but using the 5G signal to complain with. … Pete.

@@CraftyCampervanners Yes ours in on the roof, well it is on the TV mast as we removed the TV antenna. We are not getting 6G for years and are stuck with 4G for a long time. I do not use it for much while we are away but Lindsay likes to keep online. We are off to an area where a 500ft mast might get a signal LOL

I’m thinking a higher gain antenna would be good for us, I’m imagining a certain motorhome towing an olive drab trailer containing something large and hydraulic 😉

@@CraftyCampervanners LOL I wish but it would have my ham radio antennas on it.
