For some reason after every interview I've watched I've had exactly the opposite impression Sorta seems like Kit is really trying to look the way audience wants him too (golden retriever boy vibes i guess) but in reality i feel like he doesn't really like Joe that much (he does seem to like Will a lot tho) And don't hate me for this one lmao but for some reason i got the impression that he is the kind of kid who thinks entirely too much of himself

Because i don't think a person who doesn't like someone that much would engage in a playful banter with them constantly in every interviews, complimenting them like calling them cute and have this attentive gaze at them when they're speaking or when he himself is speaking. And from what I've seen from their socials specifically IG, they usually interact and sometimes it comes with a little bit of flirting. Kit and Will are close since they're from the same area if i remember so they might have already been acquainted with each other.

I’m glad that this show is about love, and not sex, or people dying or killed like so many other shows who depict gay people. I wish I had a show like this when I was young, I’m 41 now, married to my husband and extremely happy. Have had a lot of shame about being gay before. Not anymore, it takes time to being ok with being you, but if you are true to yourself and accepting you will find happiness and love! Cried throughout the whole season, great actors, great story……….❤
For me it's how honest it is with not only discovering your sexuality but everything that comes along with it. It's not just a love story but also a coming of age. The way it deals with bullying the affects it has not only on the victim but their friends and family too. The graphic novels that this show is based off of is a really good read as there is a lot in them which didnt make it into the show. I hope that season 2 gets the go ahead as the novels have so much more to offer the story. Im 43 and i came out when i was 21, it was scary and like with Nick i too had to work out what was going on with me and my feelings. I knew since I was at school that I liked the boys in my year and the year above. I had a crush on several of them at the same time I also liked girls and it was really confusing for me.
This show is amazing...we are used to different stories and shows where gay people run through a lot of mess before happines, and it isn't fair. Here everyone accept them, they have friends and parents supporting them, and they always support each other! I hope that, one day I could be a loving mum, as Nick's mum, It will be amazing! ❤️

I'm 57 and watching this show made me feel like I was 16 again. I sat down to watch this after work and literally couldn't stop watching until the last episode with tears rolling down my face. This show deserves every bit of praise it's getting. It's such a positive breath of fresh air.

Their passive-aggressiveness is sending me to the edge but I luv it lmao. The amount of times they've bickered over what really happened or what is right & wrong in these interviews is hysterical. It really shows the contrast between the two actors and the reality of being teenagers. It makes u want to keep watching and tuning in to whatever they do. Heartstopper is a phenomenal show. Joe and Kit - along with Alice, the whole cast, and everyone involved in making/bringing it to life - did the LGBTQ+ community a mere solid! The lives - the young queer lives - it has saved and will continue to save are just BEAUTIFUL. I could cry over that thought - even more so than I already have after watching the show for the 6th time. Netflix, do not be remiss and do what has to be done, renew this gorgeous and wholesome of a show. Thanks.

@@edie8931I was thinking about that. For a minute I kind of thought that. Well, Nick and Charlie are so sweet that we expect the actors to be the same way. But they are teenangers for sure. And they look like they're still figuring things out. I have a feeling there might be a stiffness around them but mainly because they have diferent personalities. Also I think Joe being LGBTQ it makes him stand differently upon the show, and even have a diferent interpretation of things.
As a queer person living in Iran, it makes me tear up to see that in some countries there are actual locations like Soho that are known as lgbtq places. I'm so happy for people who are born in those countries

It's especially queer persons in countries where it's illegal or the general attitude is still hostile whom I think of when seeing shows like this. - How important representation, humanisation and normalisation are. But I suppose a lot of countries ban shows for fear of people losening up on prejudice.
Kit with a stubble and joe looking a few years older with his style keeps on reminding me of the heartstopper canons where charlie and nick are a few years older and have become more domestic than ever! I LOVE THEM SO MUCH
I love how joe described country’s that haven’t gotten rid of many anti-LGBT laws as early on in the journey to acceptance. So many people talk about “third-world countries” being behind the times as though the people in the country are less than, because they’re government and society hasn’t shifted their centuries of ideals at the rate of western countries. Moral of the story, hopefully everywhere gets to some sort of freedom and ending oppression one day and this show can be a little bright spot for everyone.
Also in some of those cases it was European colonialism that introduced homophobia in a big way. We have to remember that when we use the term "third world."
I want a season 2. I want an hour long behind the scenes 'making of' episode on Netflix. I want limited edition posters of the show that I can frame and put on my wall. I WANT MORE HEARTSTOPPER.
Kit said in a recent interview that he and Joe now feel so comfortable together and are great friends that they can actually mock each other, insult each other and it is all playful fun.
@@wincav Joe said he was very nervous when meeting Kit as he was scared they would not get on. However once he met Kit he said he felt Kit was a bit too nice, and he got worried about that. However any worries soon ended when they spent two weeks together, getting to know one another along with the rest of the cast. After that two weeks, they were the best of friends, and were so comfortable in each other's company. I think being the same age helped them, and possibly Kit acted like a helper to Joe, as Kit did have more acting experience than Joe.

I think Olivia Colman must be an empath and I think it's part of what makes her an incredible actress. I'm not surprised at all that she teared up during a read through. I watched her episode of Who Do You Think You Are (it's an ancestry show) and she was so openly emotional hearing about her ancestors's journeys through life. What a lovely woman, I'm so glad she's getting the accolades she deserves.
4:12 I think I mentioned this under some other interview but the country where im from, Lithuania, is still pretty unaccepting of lgbtq community and I was actually very surprised to see that Heartstopper was in Netflix top 10 here. I feel like this show is really good at breaking stereotypes and making people more understanding towards these things.
I love these two so much. The fact that they Genuinely like and respect each other it’s just so special. They made heartstopper what it is, they were perfectly cast, and their chemistry is just off the charts. I love that they both wear two silver rings, probably a coincidence, but still pretty cute. And I also love when Kit wears his hair parted like he does in this video! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
There honestly a really good pair, they compliment each other so well, Kit seems really comfortable in interviews with Joe he’s able to be playful and make fun of him a little but also uplift him and then you have Joe who seems a little shy but because Kits along side him he’s not like super anxious which is a testament to there friendship. Good for them. Season 2 me please.
The more of these interviews I watch of Kit and Joe, I fall more and more in love with Joe. He seems such a sweet, lovely, decent, kind, warm young man. His voice is so sweet.

It's especially queer persons in countries where it's illegal or the general attitude is still hostile whom I think of when seeing shows like this. - How important representation, humanisation and normalisation are. But I suppose a lot of countries ban shows for fear of people losening up on prejudice.

I love how joe described country’s that haven’t gotten rid of many anti-LGBT laws as early on in the journey to acceptance. So many people talk about “third-world countries” being behind the times as though the people in the country are less than, because they’re government and society hasn’t shifted their centuries of ideals at the rate of western countries. Moral of the story, hopefully everywhere gets to some sort of freedom and ending oppression one day and this show can be a little bright spot for everyone.
Also in some of those cases it was European colonialism that introduced homophobia in a big way. We have to remember that when we use the term "third world."

Kit has a great sense of humor. These two have great chemistry on & off the set.
Kit said in a recent interview that he and Joe now feel so comfortable together and are great friends that they can actually mock each other, insult each other and it is all playful fun.

@@wincav Joe said he was very nervous when meeting Kit as he was scared they would not get on. However once he met Kit he said he felt Kit was a bit too nice, and he got worried about that. However any worries soon ended when they spent two weeks together, getting to know one another along with the rest of the cast. After that two weeks, they were the best of friends, and were so comfortable in each other's company. I think being the same age helped them, and possibly Kit acted like a helper to Joe, as Kit did have more acting experience than Joe.

I think Olivia Colman must be an empath and I think it's part of what makes her an incredible actress. I'm not surprised at all that she teared up during a read through. I watched her episode of Who Do You Think You Are (it's an ancestry show) and she was so openly emotional hearing about her ancestors's journeys through life. What a lovely woman, I'm so glad she's getting the accolades she deserves.

4:12 I think I mentioned this under some other interview but the country where im from, Lithuania, is still pretty unaccepting of lgbtq community and I was actually very surprised to see that Heartstopper was in Netflix top 10 here. I feel like this show is really good at breaking stereotypes and making people more understanding towards these things.
I hope someday lithuania and some other countries, Just realize that being lgbt is Just love and not prettending to harm others.

I love these two so much. The fact that they Genuinely like and respect each other it’s just so special. They made heartstopper what it is, they were perfectly cast, and their chemistry is just off the charts. I love that they both wear two silver rings, probably a coincidence, but still pretty cute. There honestly a really good pair, they compliment each other so well, Kit seems really comfortable in interviews with Joe he’s able to be playful and make fun of him a little but also uplift him and then you have Joe who seems a little shy but because Kits along side him he’s not like super anxious which is a testament to there friendship. Good for them. Season 2 me please.
