It varies. I like to clean mine after every time I shoot. If you shoot around 50 rounds or less then I'll do a quick clean but if I'm shooting more then I'll give it a good clean. If I let the gun sit in the safe for awhile then I'll just wipe it down with some gun oil to protect it
Nice video on a quick clean of the RS22. I initially did it your way but was scolded on how you should never clean from muzzle to breach. I now use an Otis Patriot series .22 kit which has a cable that feeds thru the receiver with attachments for the included bore brush and an end for holding cleaning patches and I pull it thru like a bore snake a few times between brush and patches. It works nicely with no carbon being pushed into the receiver. How often do you remove your trigger group to remove and clean the bolt and receiver? I try to do that every 400 rounds or if I start having issues.
