    The way you make chess obviously easy and simple reminds me of Einstein's word: "If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough"
    showing that you absolutely deserve to be the best chess player, because chess is not only playing the games.

    • @toluwanimi
      @toluwanimi ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You sound delusional... Chess is absolutely about playing the game. No one cares if you can't explain it to beginners at the Super GM level.

      @@toluwanimi you are absolutely right, NO ONE CARES.....this is why no chess grand master is loved as hikaru is.
      playing and finding the magic of this game is amazing? sure, no doubt.
      but explaining deepest details makes if far more enjoyable.

    You can actually see this game as a reminder and a constant improvement on Hikaru seeing he can have this post analysis on himself makes him a better player at the game. Learn from mistakes, improving himself and most of all developing his ideology of KISS (keep it short and simple/stupid) already at 10yrs old he has so much potential more vids like this

    Just a little request, or critique if you may, but I hope the editor makes it more clear and distinguishable when Hikaru's doing analysis (different possible lines, other game reference, etc) or playing the actual referenced game. Even just a simple label or visual cue should help. Even if I could understand and follow Hikaru clearly, english being a second language, top that with just an 1100 online rate, I get lost in these videos just sometimes.

    • @fraker12
      @fraker12 ปีที่แล้ว

      a side note: I'd rather not have Hikaru change the way he explains things cause that would definitely ruin the flow (and charm) of these videos that's why I think the visual cue is a better suggestion

      If you start playing Chess at 10 that's way to late to become a GM. Most GM's start around 4 years old, it's pretty normal for an intelligent 10 year old to have been playing chess for years. Same for igo and shogi.

    Your comments about 1800 elo confirms what I have been saying for a long time and that’s a peak 1800 elo is being in Chess Hell. Players at that level are strong, but not when compared to any Master level player. To them they’re trash. 1800 elo is strong but nowhere near strong enough to actually achieve anything related to Chess. It’s like an athlete who really likes football; but only has the talent to play high school ball.
