- It was a great day of sailing in my Northeaster Dory on Bodensee (Lake Constance). The wind was steady, around 8-10 knots, and sailing was a lot of fun. I managed to sail within a few hours from Steckborn to Berlingen, tacking against the wind. On the way back, I helped a kite surfer get back to the Swiss side of the lake after something happened to his board and he got stuck on the German side.

Interesting to watch :-) I sail a NE Dory with sloop rig near Baden Baden. Did you ever try a capsize test? With the sloop rig impossible to get back in again - if you don't have massive additional buoyancy on board ...
Hi, you are right it's important to have good buoyancy on the boat. I never capsized the boat and only tested it right after building it in 2017. This season I will be adding some extra air tubes for buoyancy on the sides and I will conduct more proper testing. I might record it as well for everyone to see. I think it's also important to learn how to enter the boat to keep it stable. I enter the boat from the water in the back, just like I instructed the young man in this video. @@PJMoskal Yes, I saw it and also commented. Entering the Dory from the side worked in my case well, much better than with my Goat Island Skiff. But the Dory is so low in the water after capsize, that easily one side ist pushed under water, when you try to empty the boat. With 4 fourty liter bags at the side and one at the front finally it worked.

Witam Robert! Pamiętam że ta fala trochę mnie zaskoczyła i prawdopodobnie przyszła od wcześniej przepływającej motorówki. Mimo że fajnie wiało to fale w tej części jeziora przy takim wietrze nie są wysokie. Jesli chodzi o anonimizowanie to stwierdziłem że je zrobię bo nie wiem ile chlopak ma lat i wolałem się nie narażać lokalnemu prawu. Do edytowania wideo używam DaVinci Resolve, profesjonalne oprogramowanie które można pobrać za darmo. Nie jest nawet zbyt skomplikowane, choć ja mam dużo doswiadczenia z tego typu oprogramowaniem więc mówię tylko za siebie. Niestety funkcja anonimizacji jest w nim raczej skomplikowana więc godzinka mi uciekła starająć się ogarnąć o co chodzi.
