I don't have the words to express how amazing and beautiful it is that this band writes songs about, and directed to their fans? Being able to see them multiple times on their tour was such a mind blowing and memorable experience. It is an incredible feeling to know that it was for them as well. Such wonderful human beings. How can anyone not love them?
I 100% agree! I wish more bands wrote aongs about their fans! Not just songs that prove the haters wrong, I want so mf s that show the band cares for the fans as much as the fans care for them. :)
Hello my old friend... Mr. Wallet. Just ordered their new BD drop of the Tokyo Garden concert so I can hear (and see) Memorable over and over again. In the vein of other great mid-tempo Band-Maid songs like Daydreaming, Anemone, About Us, Endless Story, PAGE, Wonderland, Awkward, Start Over, Mirage, At the Drop of a Hat and Smile -- I’m so touched that their time in the States inspired the sentiment of Memorable. Just under $140 with shipping (April 26) & awesome bonus package at CDJapan! Thx, Redfield!
It reminds you of About US because..... it is the sequel to About US. About US was a song to the fans during COVID..... this is a love letter to the USA fans on their recent October-November tour of the USA.
KANAMI wrote this song during their US tour and MIKU put lyric to it. They played it at Tokyo Garden Theater first time, in front of 8000 fans on 9th JAN.
I can see that. It sounds like those ballads played on radio. It doesn't have the usual Kanami sound. The vocal is so beautiful but it was even more beautiful live.
In the live performance they did have a piano intro. I wish they had carried it over into the MV, it is also beautiful and adds so much to the song. Hopefully when they release the album the piano intro will be on it.
The premiere was at the same time as I finished work (4pm local time). After 10sec watching on my phone I decided to wait until I got home to see it on a bigger screen and with proper sound.
That was a good idea to wait until you could see it on a big screen, Sugaan. But can you go home next time cos your silhouette scared me pressed against my lounge window looking thru at my TV.🤭
@@GaryHolloway-810 Yeah, sorry about that. I wasn't sure that we know eachother well enough yet, so I didn't dare to ring the doorbell. Maybe next time?
@@redfielduniverse Today was pretty good, of course, since Band Maid released a new video. It got up into the low 60's today with only a gentle breeze of 25 mph gusting to about 40 mph. We've got a front that will be passing through soon, it's supposed to get up to 68 tomorrow for the high, then the next day the high will be 28, I'm guessing we will hit the high temp at midnight. I'm almost done with my latest project, all that is left is to apply the finish to it.
@@redfielduniverse A notable day when both of those bands release new videos on the same day. Now if the walking Deadbrain's in the American music industry and American music media would get off the "they and their genres are not commercially bankable in this country" mantras. Wow, hey dudes, NOBODY is commercially bankable in North America if they get absolutely no endorsements from you whatsoever -- and genres that you suffocate have trouble getting heard. Look how far both of these bands have come in the West without ANY help from you! Both are continually getting more popular in Europe, North America and elsewhere. Imagine how they'd do if you actually promoted them , and provided promotion/financial backing for them?! Rap and hip-hop only got your help when those musical forms moved beyond New York/East Coast "ethnic urban phenomena" (largely by word-of-mouth and grassroot fan support) to being a potential gold mine for y'all -- the poeple did this, not YOU! Do you see any parallels between this and "not commercially viable" bands like Band Maid and Lovebites? In consecutive, non-COVID years, band Maid went from 6 U.S. shows, to 12 (plus a U.S.-based festival appearance) to at least 21 shows (counting TLRS) for this year, plus multiple U.S.-based festivals and a decent truckload of non U.S.-based festivals, plus opening for Guns 'n' Roses in Tokyo, plus being booked into Japanese venues that can host "one-man shows" with audiences of up to 12,000 and (soon) 18,000, plus Japanese animes/other TV shows, plus a Netflix movie, soundtrack participation in an HBO series, numerous TV and "radio" show appearances, constant significant expansion on You Tube, Spotify and in merchandise sales et cetera. Do you think that each year they just keep getting ever more lucky? Thank God for grassroots fan movements! Any chance that you Walking Braindead types could be electroshocked into a state of semi-consciousness and actually DO SOMETHING POSITIVE AND SUPPORTIVE for Band Maid, Lovebites and other bands like them? Thank you SO MUCH for not only continuing to do absolutely NOTHING, but actually serving as an INPEDIMENT to their chances of full-blown success! What would we all do without you?!
@@bruceveary1758 Hold on, I'm a little confused. You used "you" a lot and I'm not the best with interpreting stuff as seen in my reactions. Are you using "you" as "North Americans" or speaking directly at me? Honestly I'm confused. 🤔
@@redfielduniverse Then again, perhaps my paragraph structure caused confusion. The first couple of sentences are directed at you. After that (without creating a new paragraph -- I was trying to save space and not run afoul of You Tube's content length limitation) I went on my diatribe against the American/North American music industry, music media and music promoters. At that point, none of the "you's" refer to YOU -- most refer to the members of the groups that I just referenced. Basically, I'm saying that THEY have a history of ignoring any music seen to be "non-commercial", and only get on board when they are convinced that a great deal of money can to be made from a form of "new music". There is no longer any feeling of obligation in these industries to promote artists pursuing unproven musical directions, to give exposure to under-represented genres, to keep artists of proven talent and critical acclaim on their rosters, even when the sales are low to moderate. At one time, the relevant industries did these things; today, artistic and cultural obligation is irrelevant. The common people gave rap and hip-hop their footing and growth. This was true of metal and hard rock in the '70s. It is true today of bands represented by Band Maid and Lovebites. But, today, the relevant industries take NO chances, ignoring such groups, and denying them the proper fulfilment of their potential. (Nothing in what I wrote after the very beginning of the comment was directed at you -- you're fine in my book).
Haha! It is! It unfortunately will be in the next batch of videos as well. It's actually not annoying me anymore. My family has a tendency to have it be beeping for a long time before it gets fixed. So what I'll do is, I'll change rooms, until it gets fixed. Its not as bad as the change in tune and crack beeping that it doesnt when its like almost completely dead. Sorry! :)
