i love how he teach us how to cut based on face shapes. i did this cut on myself without any knowledge and i just cut my main bangs short and left 2 blocks longer. it turned out really good haha

I did it myself a couple months ago and I think it wasn't that bad, but if I would have watched this video before, I think I would have done a way better job (even though my hair is thick, I didn't grab enough hair for the hime part). Good thing is that hair grows, and mine grows really fast. I love your videos!! Thank you, Yuki-san!

We called This thoibi cut in our language it’s our traditional old hairstyle seeing people doing it now as a fashion is impressive cause we don’t do it anymore as we thought it’s an old style😅
It’s and traditional Japanese haircut as well haha old haircuts are fascinating tbh, I really like history so it’s nice to try once in a while old hairstyles and learn about them :D

You can still try, the bangs can also be cute with curly hair. So when you do straight your hair, you'll have hime hair.
hi I have a hime cut with curly hair and it still looks good! I would just recommend it to be a longer hime if you wear glasses so they don't stick out the sides when it curls :)

my hair is curly too and i did this haircut!! my curls are 2b/2c and sometimes i use hair straightener. sometimes i let the bangs curly and it looks good. for some curls, hairstyles that are just for 'straight hair' are just a myth because i had a mullet too. so don't be afraid to do the haircuts you want

@@uruha7341 what did you do with the "hime parts"? I have wavey hair and fear the hime parts will have to be straightened every time :c when i have full bangs i already always have to blowdry them or they look super chaotic and not in a cute way most of the time 😣

Every time you make a video about Hime Hair, I fall even more in love with it. It's so cute and you explain it so well! I want this cut so bad but I don't want to appropriate it. So I'll just sit here and appreciate how cute it is through your videos!
I think that if you really like the hairstyle and how it would look on you, you should have the freedom to do it! It's very similar to bangs with feathery face-framing side pieces, just with straight cuts.
I also looked the hairstyle up again to see if I could learn more about the history, and apparently it's now showing up on the fashion runways along with 80s style mullets.

No one should be upset about it! Cultural appropiation is something to be concerned about but most people don't mind it when someone uses things of their culture as long as it is respectfully!

How would one get that multi-layered hime style seen on Sengoku era ladies in period dramas? They usually have 2 layers of shorter face-framing bits and then a bit longer that goes down their chest, and the rest is super long and tied back loosely (sometimes with loops). It looks very pretty.
