It was epic to see y’all rocking this camera at Armed! And comparing it to the a6400 our team uses and I was thinking about getting. I think I’m going with this. Thanks yet again Omar!
Being a a6400 user for 3 years had to pick this up in day one. The best hybrid aps-c camera what's the best lens lineup on the market. It was a no brainer to get on day one. And I love how just like with the a6400 using full frame lens your using the best part of the glass. A6700 is everything and more for anyone who wants pro lvl work without breaking the bank. And shooting in 10-bit 4k 60 overheating is really not an issue it's when you're doing 4K 120 for too long but who is shooting super slow-mo for longer than a few minutes in 4k anyway lol
Excellent video again Omar but it overheats so much (no cooling fan) for long contents. And long content is so trendly and important for next years. FX30 is better for than I think too.
I used it to record hour long videos at my church and has never over heated. They also released a firmware update and it makes it better. The over heating issue is not really an issue
@fernandochavarria when did they do an update? Because 2 weeks ago, it overheated on me after 1 hour of livestreaming... and my a6700 was updated then.
Great video Omar. You convinced me. I will be trying this out for my vlog and not only using go pro cameras. I would totally use your link, but I will be buying it in Indonesia. :)
A couple of questions: 1) Does Canon make anything that compares with the A6700? 2) Does the EV-10 do basically the same things? Which one do you think is better for filming online course? Any other recommendations? Thanks, Chuck
I love this camera but the OVERHEATING is annoying!!! Did you record your entire talk using the a6700 without overheating? If so, were you recording in 4K?
@@PabAng Yep also in 4K live streaming. I mainly stream on my other channel and I got this hoping it will Stream at 4K, and it does but overheats in about 12 minutes.
The main feature of this camera is the Auto Framing, great for instructional videos I'm making. The only thing keeping me from buyin is if it can livestream for longer than 2 hours, hdmi out to capture card and then into the computer. I can do it with my A6400.
ugh I'm debating getting it..I'm using good old ZV E10 at the moment but I would love to be able to attach external monitor and record with proxy at the same time. ZV does not support that. Any info on overheating above 1 hour with A6700? I wish I could do it in 30mins but I can't (yet), so I need sth that will be okay with 1h+ recording..
I've been doing cell phone photography for several years and have decided to make the leap to a mirrorless camera. I've been researching Canon and Sony cameras and there is so much info, I'm starting to get things mixed up. To make things easier, I'm trying to decide on some basics so I can narrow my research. I think I want a full frame sensor since I'll be doing landscape and wildlife photography. Won't the full frame sensor be able to see more than a crop sensor? Can a proper lens compensate? I'm not sure if I am communicating that properly. Plane of view, perhaps? Does full frame have a larger plane of view? Also, in the side by side comparison at the 1:49 mark, I like the full frame image better.
Great video and very cool camera for sure. But I think for most people starting on TH-cam it's just better to start filming with their smartphone to see if they even enjoy making videos. I think many people underestimate the huge time sink of video creation and quit within the first few weeks. Also using a camera properly is a whole skill in itself. With a smartphone it's just pressing one button. Get a cheap $20 Tripod and the world is yours. People don't care too much about the whole picture quality anyway... as long as audio is descent. If you really want a camera... why not get a used sony alpha 6100 and or ZVE10 and a used sigma 16mm 1.4. Instead of spending almost 2k you end up spending $800 or even less with pretty much the same picture quality. But I get it... it's the new shiny toy. If it makes you happy all power to you! :)
This is absolutely the truth. And in any event it will take you awhile to move beyond the capabilities of an a6100 and even longer to move beyond a zv-e10. By that time there will be even better cameras available, or you will be able to pick up a used a6700 for cheap. Of course it can go the other way too. Currently I have a new a6700 and am selling both a a6100 and a zv-e10.😊
Thanks for the outstanding review. You mentioned a couple of lenses, what would you recommend as a lens for the a6700 primarily photos/videos for traveling (landscapes/portrait).
So that do it all perspective is still viable if I'm wanting to start moving into doing professional photography sessions? The a6700 paired with good photography lenses are good solution?
Would you mind show me how to setup for the beep sound? All I want is a beef sound when it is in focus. Yes, I have set focus mode to AF-S (not AF-C) and I also set sound mode to ON, "silent mode" to OFF Thank you very much for your help.
Man, I want to buy my 1st camera and being offered two different brands for the same price. THE PROBLEM? One full-frame, the CANON R6 and the other one is a SONY A6700... which one should be better for a beginner that wants to take nice shoots and have not long format video??
a6700 is an interesting camera, but apsc isnt just "a little bit" smaller than fullframe. isnt it like 30% smaller? nomatter what is applied to, imo i dont find a percentage of 30% to just be "little"..
The viewfinder is only 1 cm... Do you have any difficulty using the small viewfinder with spectacles? I love using viewfinder so want to know whether its easy or difficult to use the small viewfinder with glasses...
Just saw myself in the background lol. But just out of curiosity if price and budget wasn’t a factor at all what do you think is the absolute best camera for a youtuber, vlogger, talking head videos etc?
Vlogging and talking head have conflicting requirements. A lot of people do both so it's a valid question. But there is no perfect camera for both. If you have a typical studio environment with low dynamic range, pretty much any modern camera will do great in studio. If you have bright windows behind you things are more challenging for the camera. But since it's a studio you don't need to move the camera so an Alexa should do you nicely. Or maybe a Red if you are on a budget.😅
If you use the same lens on a full frame and a cropped sensor camera, you will get the same background blur. Just imagine the cropped sensor is the center portion of the full frame sensor.
Hello looking into shooting photos for clothing brands would this be a better camera over the a7lll ? Budget is 2000$ and like how you compare the quality to it.
There are a lot of good cameras in this range- yes sony is great at film but sony doesn't have the best menu system which should be considered. People should get their hands on a camera in a store before buying.
I’m curious about a comparison of the a6700 and the Canon R7. They seem comparable for specs and pricing, with the only downside of the Canon possibly being the lack of lens choices.
