I remember helping in the kitchen as a kid making bread crumbs with a turn handle grater like the one you showed as cheese grater. Thanks for fun the demonstrations!
The juicer works great for lemons, oranges and grapefruit (and even pomegranate seeds). I put the cut side of the fruit against the flat part of the juicer for maximum juice extraction. Possibly the ice graters might work better if you are standing up and thus able to exert more pressure.
Hello ladies. When I was a little girl, my mama used to make riced potatoes, however she used a cone shaped aluminum thing that sat inside this stand, which you placed over a bowl. Cooked potatoes went into the thing and a wooden pestle type thing was used to smash the potatoes that then were forced thru small holes and out came the riced potatoes. We liked them. Camarillo, California.
I actually have one of the cone items and used it for canning tomatoes and applesauce. I didn’t know you could use it for potatoes. Good information. Thanks.
Actually the juicer thing is being advertised in real life currently on TV. THE ONE THEY are demonstrating seems to work well, significantly better than your vintage model.

The green and silver ice crusher was from the late 1960's, early 70's. They never worked!

The Potato ricer was designed for the making of mashed potatos easier.
Thanks so much for the information.
I have also used it for applesauce. I have a different one ,that is like a cone, and you place it over a bowl. It has a wooden mallet.
Yea, this person is describing the same one I commented on. Actually, my daughter has one in her shed that just showed from somewhere,

Any suggestions on how to clean the kitchen gadgets safely so they can be used in the kitchen?
I’m not sure what would be the best way because these tools come with a variety of conditions. Thanks for watching.

Our vintage tools definitely were old and were difficult to handle. Good to know. Thanks
