I never thought that as a musician I will enjoy watching farm videos but I must admit that your videos are very interesting, educational and relaxing! Thank you for your time and energy you invest for making them!
I never thought i should see you laying on a hamrock. You are always working. Not like me. I just sit here inside watch Rainfall Projeckts videos. Thanks for good videos.
What an amazing piece of land you got there. And really well maintained. Jake also such a cool dog to have around. And that book upside down at the end was a cool touch.
new sub here... I like the subtle humor in your videos. The race mower (with aerodynamic seating position) and upside down book at the cherry on top of the cake that is your tutorial videos. I also like the misuse of equipment. worked out well! Keep up the good work!
Nice looking lawn. Thanks for the video. I was surprised you actually have time to relax! I enjoy your style with these videos and also the fact they are so varied.
Nice Video as always. I find it really relaxing to watch your Videos. Expecially how you explain your thought process combined with your calm voice is just great! Keep up the good Work.
What you did with the lawn is called "Scarifying" usually - but you don't use a mower but a special attachment which basically heavily rakes the lawn and pulls out all the dead grass. It makes the lawn look terrible for a few weeks but it comes back harder and stronger.
Nice work, lawn looks great. As usual, your attention to detail and thought process makes your videos interesting and informative. If I may suggest, paint the field side of the filter guard bright orange. :) Also, you might want to build a little insulating box to cover it during winter months. Keep up the great work, eager for the next one.
I went to see if you had Bad Obsession Motorsport in your subs, oooof course you did. :)) Made me chuckle. On to greener things, nice job on the lawn, it can be a chore, but having it nice and proper really does help the mind relax. At least for me it does. Sitting on a chair looking at it with something, preferably right side up, to read ;)
I work at a real old cemetery, built 1888, plubing started doing in the ground around 1930. Needless to say there is a rust scale problem, which keeps us from using that style pop up. The "impact" style pop up sprinklers will take a ton more garbage. And personally I think they're easier to adjust.
You might get better results if you dethatch with a vertical mower. You won't have to scalp the grass and it will cut up and thin out all the old and dead grass. Anyway, I dig all your videos. Thanks for the great content!
There are few different machines that accomplish the same thing. I've heard a vertical mower called a dethatcher. I'm sure there are tractor mounted ones, but I've only ever used ones that looked like a small push mower. It's kind of like a flail except that the blades don't bend at the bottom and they are straight. A slit seeder for turf is basically the same thing but adds a box that drops seed in the grooves cut by the blades. Again, this is all much smaller scale than your farm implements mostly since it's geared much more towards residential settings. The one thing to remember when using something like these is that if dethatching is the goal, you want the blades not to dig into the ground and just graze the surface. This reduces the damage done to the plants and rips off the dead grass blades and pulls it up the the top. In my experience, running it over with a regular mower a day later is enough to mulch it all up and cleanup is pretty minimal.
My 90 year old grandma finally added a kitchein on to her house a couple years ago with a bathroom and a dishwasher but I dont think the dishwasher has been used more than a dozen times, she still prefers hand washing. Old habits hardly die I guess.
It is four weeks later and then you started your engine. My eyes where as big as plates. What the (you know what I mean). Nice lawn by the way. Enjoy it preferably by reading a book upside down. Greetings Gerrit
some of the grass had lawn disease. also when you cut it every 4 weeks then the lower parts will have brown. I enjoy lawn experimenting as well. milk didn't make my grass greener haha
I 'm still laughing from watching the clip of you mowing the lawn in fast forward with special sound effects. The lawn looks great and Drake sure seems to approve. My lawn is a mess from voles and gophers. I've given up trying to make it lush like yours. Nice job.
Wow. I would most certainly recommend you to use that for growing your seeds as well, as scarifying helps drastically to improve yield. And did you know that there is currently a commercial viable way of growing seeds which can churn out 20 (!) fold (or more(!!)) then you can achieve on cold ground seed growing? Growing under led light is truly amazing and as a mechanical engineer by trade living in the Netherlands i have experienced firsthand the amazing quality of cabbage, strawberries and other vegetables they currently can produce without a spat of sunlight (and no herbicides nor pesticides as well). You might want to look into that as well, but notice that in order to go that way, it requires quite some investment. However, the return on investment is already proven to be huge.
Am I the only person that thinks the filter was installed upside down. The drain should be on the bottom. Is that why he was reading the book upside down in the end scene? I even got a cheer at the end for figuring it out. Right?🎉
Hey Justin hate to bug you know you're probably real busy getting the farm ready for winter or winter already up there but just wanted to see if you could do a update video check and see what's going on for a upcoming videos right on. again I hate to bug you thanks
It's weird to see you at rest and not digging a hole, welding up a tractor part, forging up some steel, wiring up some lights, bending up some metal...etc
Never have I been so entertained by lawn maintenance.
I never thought that as a musician I will enjoy watching farm videos but I must admit that your videos are very interesting, educational and relaxing!
Thank you for your time and energy you invest for making them!
Reading the book upside-down :)
Everybody noticed :) Great video, as usual!
what kind of boots were you wearing when you stomped down the gras?
I like to read my books upside down for the additional challenge.
I never thought i should see you laying on a hamrock. You are always working. Not like me. I just sit here inside watch Rainfall Projeckts videos. Thanks for good videos.
He knows the subject back to front and upside down
Another great vid! Nothing like a good dyslexic photography book in the hammock.
Having to water your lawn is such an alien concept living in a Scotland! ☔
Always loved it when my Dad used farm machines on the garden! 😊
What an amazing piece of land you got there. And really well maintained. Jake also such a cool dog to have around. And that book upside down at the end was a cool touch.
Always relaxing watching your videos. thanks man
You can bet your weekly pay check on it. :)
Hilarious when the drag car sound effects were with your mower. Cracked me up! Love your videos. Great job

Daytona 500 on your lawn ...perfect melding of your posture, the video speed, and sound effects. What a cut up!!! LOL
always a good day when a rainfall video pops up in my sub box :D
Love the upside down book at the end. Nailed it! I really enjoy your videos. Keep them coming! Any new work on the barn?
A man rich with both ability and desire is a joy to observe!
Nice looking lawn. Thanks for the video. I was surprised you actually have time to relax! I enjoy your style with these videos and also the fact they are so varied.

Great video!! I got a good laugh from the Drag Racing lawn mower clip. Keep up the good work!!!

nicely done! have you ever done an aerial view of your whole farm? Maybe with narration. that would be interesting to watch.
Lawn looks great!

so you're a grass farmer. neat.
textbook example of making the mundane topic of lawncare really interesting. :)
new subscriber. love the videos man you have a great style.
you make my day when you upload a video sir! nice touch with the race car sound while cutting the lawn and your book must've been boring...lol
thanks for the reply!
I went to see if you had Bad Obsession Motorsport in your subs, oooof course you did. :)) Made me chuckle.

I said that wheelbarrow really needs some oil and then the he said it. I'm subbed because of that!
great video, great sense of humour

The second mowing....subscribed...🤣😂😂

Good work, looks good
Awesome Videos

Great video. But I don’t think you can read a book upside down. Jajajaja. Can’t wait for your next video!
the Nascar sounds were great! good to have Farm tools to do that kinda work :)
also, Upside Down book!
My black lab does the same exact thing when I am digging holes.
Best dog I have ever had!
Great Video!
Was that filter sufficient for your setup? How does it work now that it has been a few years?
Lol love the lawn mower scared the hell out of me
Where your grass turned brown, it wasn’t dead, it had a fungus. Very easy to remedy.
Can you give us a hint of future projects you're considering now that winter is on the way? Besides fixing the squeaky wheel on the 'barrow.
That's one loud lawnmower:)
some of the grass had lawn disease. also when you cut it every 4 weeks then the lower parts will have brown. I enjoy lawn experimenting as well. milk didn't make my grass greener haha
Did you drill a hole in the bottom to leave out condescension? even see railing and pipe that's spilt?
Fun vid!
Nice welds.
Ur V12 John Deere Lawnmower is awesome dude! lol
I will never support that swine of a company. Their anti consumer stance is despicable.
*4 weeks later* the grass is ready to mow and I got a new mower too! She has a alcohol problem tho
Its all about the lawn!. Me too!
Really enjoying the videos was wondering if you ever got the Forge ?
I 'm still laughing from watching the clip of you mowing the lawn in fast forward with special sound effects. The lawn looks great and Drake sure seems to approve. My lawn is a mess from voles and gophers. I've given up trying to make it lush like yours. Nice job.
Well Done !!!!
I wonder if a robomower would help you with the dead tops
Have you thought about using a lawn scarifier to improve your grass and remove (most) weeds?
Wow. I would most certainly recommend you to use that for growing your seeds as well, as scarifying helps drastically to improve yield. And did you know that there is currently a commercial viable way of growing seeds which can churn out 20 (!) fold (or more(!!)) then you can achieve on cold ground seed growing? Love your dog :-)
Thank you, this video was great -Jim
Drake’s the best!
Wow, we water our grass every night 2 times for 10 minutes if i recall corectly, and it is mowed once a week.
Great vlog. What kind of dog is Drake?
Did you ever get your dishwasher installed?
now I need a hazlenut rake
Got to get my tractor to sound like that !!!!! Whats size motor you using in your lawn tractor ?? Another good video keep up the good work !!!
10:30 good one 😂😂😂😂😂
Great video as always!
No hammock for Drake though?
What filter did you use? I have a similar problem watering my lawn with water pumped from a lake.
What brand shorts are those?
Where in Oregon is this?
Great video.
Highly recommend NOT having your filter connected to guard post...
That's some skill . . .11:40
How about a metal rack for the shop.... need to get the steel off the cement.... it will rust to fast
Am I the only person that thinks the filter was installed upside down. The drain should be on the bottom. Is that why he was reading the book upside down in the end scene? I even got a cheer at the end for figuring it out. Right?🎉
You read the book upside down?
This video couldn't have been any more soothing unless Morgan Freeman narrated it.
Quit a fan of this guy, absolutly great vids!
"I fought the lawn and the lawn won" - on a T-shirt I once saw.
I was thinking you'ld end the video swinging a golf club at the dogs ball
What boots are you wearing ??
Look similar to my RW 899s.
Your wheelbarrel (5:45) needs some 710
If you read your book, you know why!
What state are you in
Hey Justin hate to bug you know you're probably real busy getting the farm ready for winter or winter already up there but just wanted to see if you could do a update video check and see what's going on for a upcoming videos right on. again I hate to bug you thanks
reads camera manual upside down :D
Sprinkler system project by Rainfall Projects :)
How much beer would Drake drink in the run of a hot afternoon?
great video, but the pacing felt a little slow. Like watching grass grow. (badum TSH)
have you seen the series letterkenny? you should check it out haha :)
It's weird to see you at rest and not digging a hole, welding up a tractor part, forging up some steel, wiring up some lights, bending up some metal...etc
Dogs are such assholes ya gotta love it.
