    Next year: You require 1 yottabyte of disk space to install the new Call of Duty.

    Fun Fact: The Internet has a mass of 50 grams in electrons.

      How has this been measured?

    • @TS-jm7jm
      @TS-jm7jm 3 ปีที่แล้ว +305

      massive doubt, that sounds like an understatement, minimum it has to be several kilograms
      edit, okes, stop replying to me, ive expressed doubt on my own estimation a few lines down, please be patient in your reading before immediately replying to my specific comment.
      here's a calculation in the weight of the internet
      A statistically rough (one sigma) estimate might be 75-100 million servers @ ~350-550 watts each. Call it Forty Billion Watts or ~ 40 GW. Silicon logic runs at three volts or so, and as the electron's mass is 9.1 x ten to the minus 31 grams, an Ampere is some ten to the eighteenth electrons a second, and the average chip runs at a Gigaher[t]z, fairly straightforward calculation reveals that some 50 grams of electrons in motion make up the Internet. [50 g = roughly 2 ounces.]
      and here's the source

      Well on the latest NVMe tech you can actually divid the size by 19,370,000 or there abouts
      1 PetaByte is 3.2 meters by 3.2 meters by 5mm
      And according to some random site i went onto thats 5cm3
      Tho that would be without backup’s so lets say its 3.2m3 instead making the latest NVMe tech size 312,499x smaller than whats in the video
      Cant be bothered to do it for HDD tech but will still be thousands of times smaller than the video says even if factoring in backups
