    Great rig mate. Used it to great effect in WA this weekend to catch a number of Mackies. Thanks so much for the tips!
    This method of fishing is relatively new to the kayak community in WA. I was wondering where you get your pulsator lures dusters from as you can't find dusters in Perth to buy.

    +isizinyo what kind of weight is that, looks like a torpedo weight, but I can only find ones with rings or swivels on the end.

    Hey mate what size sinker is that? I just made this rig with size 5 barrel sinkers to troll pillchards. Would that be too heavy?

    What size and weight sinker is that ?

    • @isizinyo
      @isizinyo  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      antsrealm It depends on the bait size. Bigger bait bigger sinker. It should be enough to act as a keel but not drag the bait down head first

    Spanish macks mostly die when released after long fights, you'll find them on the bottom dead, minutes later.

    • @tommiestrydom973
      @tommiestrydom973 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +fishawoonga If you get them in fast enough they have a good chance of surviving. I spoke to a fisheries officer that was catching tagging and releasing spanish mackerel. They would skull drag them in as quick as possible and release them.

    • @fishawoonga
      @fishawoonga 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Tommie Strydom , the point is as I mentioned, "Spanish macks mostly die when released after long fights, you'll find them on the bottom dead, minutes later." If anglers are using lighter line classes, releasing the fish is as equal to killing it or feeding local shark populations. Barbless hooks, heavy tackle, no photos, then release............................. those fish have a higher chance of survival. They're not as robust as other species such as barramundi or GT.
