For the fireplace, I think the brown-ish tile on the left matches your vision more. Girl I worried about your nails loading all those tile boxes in your car! Good thing you brought Sean for the next round - probably will not have any future issues about getting tile delivered, haha!

Thank you for showing this.........im thinking about buying a house in north carolina [rocky mkount....it has 4 bedroos and 2 baths they want 85,000 foe the home.Its issing the kitchen and 1 bath room.The rooms are large,the doors are very wide.I going back on your kitchen video....y mom told me i can make the kichen my own..Lots to think about.....thank you.
Sean don't feel bad about eating ramen, we eat a lot of ramen and we aren't renovating anything yet. Since you seem to be the chef in the family I'm sure you hook them up. My sons put cheese in theirs. Celia will you be giving us the total of the other cost? And once you have tenants will you allow them to paint the walls in the apartment?
Just get basic subway tiles for the rental... don't be too "fancy". You'll have to repair it at some point/ the renters may cover up your design choices anyway.
Make sure your lease is professionally written when you are ready to sign new tenants. Tenants should not be nailing into walls or swapping out fixtures without the written permission of the landlord.
I'd actually prefer nailing into the wall because at least that's a hole that can easily be filled Versus Command Strips, which have torn up some drywall 🥴
For fireplace, I like Sean's choice.
I feel Shawn 100%; it's hella hard seeing your bank account being depleted for basic human needs such as shelter 😂😂
