I went to get my hair touched up for a cruise 2 days before we were to leave.
She had always wanted me to try my hair a pretty strawberry blond color and decided to sneak it in. It was totally red!!!!!
I went home to try to like it.
The next morning I called the shop and talked to the owner. She told me to come in and she would have the stylist there, (Sat was her day off and she had to come in and fix it for free)
She never tried that again.

Been heavy into SNC the past day - making OESD Winter Village Cathedral and Gingerbread Windmill - been cutting OESD Fiber Bond and fabric. Whew - tons of pieces! So happy to have a SNC or my hand would probably not be working very well. Have a great time in Houston - looking forward to all your "new" finds.

I'm starting to rethink selling my SnC2 that was wireless and would send designs directly to my BL Solaris 3.
You absolutely should keep the scan and cut. You can upload the designs to Brother canvas and then download them back to the scan and cut to cut the fabric. Then save it to your computer and use a USB to transfer the designed to your Solaris. If you have a Embrilliance you can send the design wirelessly to the Solaris.
I was a hairdresser for the last 44 years and just retired. Wash it a couple of times and it should lighten up!

I made Lori’s chicken quilt. I would have loved to have made it with my sewing machine embroidery hoop.
After all day playing and trying to get it right I finally cut the file. It took me a long time to find the files to cut. I thought I was putting the file in the same file as the design. No I was putting it downloads and finally found it there. Easy once you "get it". Thanks Becky for the videos, they are so helpful.
Yes, it does take a little bit of piddling around and clicking here and there until finally, it clicks! Then you are off to the races! Have fun!

I feel your pain. I also have ‘bottle blond’ and there have been an occasional oops with mine too. I’m sure your hairdresser can fix it before you go to Houston. Frankly, it doesn’t matter what color your hair is…We love you for your wonderful personality and your ability to teach us so much!

I got Embrilliance years ago and it is very easy to use. I was convinced to buy one those expensive programs and every time I try to use it, I give up and go back to Embrilliance.

Would love a video on problems with stitches that can be seen after clicking applique. I just digitized a small design and had issues with strange stitches using the e-stitch....had some diagonal stitches which I can't figure out why that happened, and I had some stitching under overlapped areas, which should not have been there after saving it. I contacted Embrilliance and according to them (Chase and Harper), SA2 is not meant to convert vector files to machine embroidery. Still scratching my head about that one!

Becky, did you have any success putting the simply shapes directly in the the scan n cut? I am wondering if putting a darker piece of paper behind the shape to cover the mat will help. What do you think?
I wish someone could write PDFs with step by step instructions...That along with the tutorial videos would help me a lot...anyone willing??? Beginning with saving the files to creating the design in SA2 to stitch the applique...

What if you take a black marker and just drag it around the template? That would make the “outline” darker.
It is April 14, 2024 and I am just now watching this. I just got a CM350 so some of what you show is different for me, but I get the gist of it. What I'm wondering about now is how do I do the stitching part when I don't have any of the Stitch Artist modules. I have Essentials and Enthusiast. Also if I am able to get SA-1, can I do this or do I need one of the higher modules?

You could take a sharpie along the edge of the stencil
You absolutely use quilters cotton directly on the gold mat; but you have to treat the fabric with Terial Magic. It makes the fabric very stiff like card stock. So it cuts clean and removes from the mat easily. The Terial Magic washes out if fabric easily too. I much prefer Heat n Bond lite on standard mat just like you showed us.

Hey Becky it you take 20 volume hair peroxide and shampoo together it will lighten your hair at little at a time . Start with one part peroxide to two part shampoo. shampoo as normal. I use to be a hairdresser but I have arthritis and can no longer do it. I say this so you don't think I got booted out of the industry for bad hairdressing lol.

Can you show how to take an appliqué pattern that has multiple pieces that have dark outlines and then the dots how do you separate and then use the scan and cut to cut them out thank you
What if you just traced along the outside of the template? Would that make the lines darker for you?
If i dont want to use the "rubbery" heat n bond how can i cut fabric? Prep my fabric? My mom is 85 and does almost all hand applique, I'd like to try and cut things for her but needs to be a softer texture for her hand sewing.

Becky, Could you just run a sharpie along the edge of the shapes before scanning to define the outline?
Yes, but I recommend using a Crayola Marker so any stray marks can be wiped off your shapes.

Yes, you have to program in the stops.

If you import the avg fie why would that not work?--it would cut according to the SVC which would then match the original SVC file-unless you are resizing it
I’m assuming you are referring to Kimberbell designs? For some reason, the SVG files that Kimber bell provides do not fit into their placement lines. The same goes for Sweet Pea designs. You always have to test.
@@PowerToolsWithThread well that really sucks--I use adobe software to create simple designs which I can export as SVG files-I was told that I can send it to the scan-n-cut for cutting and I send it to my.embroidery software to create the appliqué stitching . I don’t yet have a scan and cut but plan to get one in 2024 :) too many ufo’s to warrant a new toy at thins time. Thx
@@karenkurdziel4069 Yes, you can import svg files to the SNC for cutting and they will cut to the size of the svg itself. I was assuming you were talking about svg files from an embroidery digitizer like Kimberbell - vs. svg's you made on your own. Whatever size you make yourself will cut to the same size in the SNC. It's just that the svg's from Kimberbell and SweetPea can't be relied upon to fit the placement lines of their designs. I misunderstood.

Its a blue bottle and its used to restick your mat. I had a teacher ruin my brand new mat with fabric cutting so i had to strip it and restick it.
