To be clear though, Spelljammer is fantasy space and not science fiction. It takes some inspiration from science fiction sources (some of the SJ races are rebooted from Star Frontiers, for example) but it's all about the typical fantasy classes flying around on an open-decked ship.
I really really like Spelljammer, but if you want something more like science fiction, you might enjoy Starfinder more.

Thank you very much for making these space videos. This high fantasy space travel series is engrossing. I am currently halfway into a 3.5e campaign, and will soon be taking my players into the reaches of space to battle demons of Lovecraftian inspiration. These videos are gearing me up for how to DM space travel, so again; thank you.

Just got this recommended to me 2 years later now that DnD is using the setting! It would be really cool to see an in-depth lore video on some of the locations in wild space or the wild inhabitants

Love your videos. I’m a new DM, and I use your videos to actually understand the dnd universe. You organize everything very well by topic, as opposed to the written materials, which are kind of all over the place. And there’s such a crapton of marerial, just looking up a couple of your videos for relevant information is amazingly useful.

@Michael Johnson Implied, although they never outright stated it. The rules for Ultimate Helms are terrible; effectively just magic items with 1-10 extra spell-like special powers and none were related to moving ships :(

I like this slower approach the the Spelljammers setting. It’s one of those things I know I won’t be able to watch a 20 to 40 (or even 60) minute video of on and get the gist. I think short series on settings like this outside of the forgotten realms are interesting

The tonnages listed for the various spelljammers imply some wild material properties. They’re as big as 18th century frigates, but weigh ~300 times less (1500 vs 50 tons).

Not bad! You must have done a LOT of reading to get this summary and I can't wait to see a more in depth video. It's strange to see all that source material again. Even though I run a Spelljammer campaign it's been a long time since I've looked at my books. I think you've inspired me to go back and read them again :)
