"We will be together soon,if we will be anything at all"..... God have mercy on my friend Jason too. T.T. This music is ripping my heart out and soothing me at the same time...Beautiful!
This is by far the most beautiful song that I have ever listened to. The lyrics are so deep and you can tell that he means them, that they're straight from his heart.
I'm lying here in bed, at 02:31 am, listening to this masterpiece. It makes me want to stay awake for another four hours so that I could go outside, find a small hill, and then just listen to this song whilst I observe the sunrise. Songs like these put a smile on my face and reminds me about how blessed we are to experience 'life'.
Words cannot describe how beautiful this is. This is actually breathtaking, and an amazing remix. It feels like rehearing the song for the first time all over again.
This is so great because it's a good tribute to the original. It's not out to beat it or change it, but it lets me remember what it was like listening to the original for the first time all over again.
@AArdW01f There is some music you can't mix better. Trent Reznor is one of these musicians. Thank you but I don't agree. ;) It's an interpretation of what the lyrics says, it's this moment of dieing and I tried to describe this moment with some sweet Pads. But I didn't change the melody. So it isn't better than the original cause it was Trent who wrote the lyrics and the melody. Further my remix would never fit into the Year Zero-concept. So thanks again but it's still not possible.
So beautiful, shame on us, we knew from the start, may God have mercy on our dirty little hearts, that lift at 5:40 is orgasmic we need more pleas!!!!!
KEEP THE MUSIC ALIVE, MR. REZNOR. ... YOUR MUSIC HAS HELPED ME OVERCOME. AND ADAPT TO ANY AND ALL SITUATIONS! IN THE MILITARY AND AS A CIVILIAN, I SALUTE YOU, FER KEEPING MY MORALE UP! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! "I AM SURE OUR PATHS WILL CROSS AGAIN" (07AUG97) Direct quote, on Jena and Magazine! GOD SPEED, KEEP THE FAITH! LOVE, COURTNEY LUPO! 😉
+Amy Ming Hier "Shame on us, doomed from the start. May God have mercy on our dirty little hearts. Shame on us, for all we've done. And all we ever were, just zeroes and ones."
the original is....quite frustrating....beautiful parts, but somehow...bad arrangements.... But your mix is.....just like perfect. At the end, i know the song is how it must be... Trent wrote the lyrics and the melody....i agree. But you made this song a piece of art....
Thats how trents style usually is: harsh and biting, even for his slower tempo songs. Its not bad at all, just his style really, all purposeful and planned.
I am a enamored by your interpretation of this piece of art by Trent Reznor. I would never, but I have many times and you question some things I really want to check out. I dig that thank you for sharing that. This music is important to me it’s ridiculously important to my health.
The song is perfect i cant stop listening to it, but thats how talented trent is, he brings out the best, and without you and him none of this would be possible.
Wow you this blows away both the original and the tweaker ray version. You officially are in the top remixers of nin all time. Thank you for this it showcases the lyrics better than the original
Listened this so much in January 2020. Couple of before-the-storm weeks. All who knew their shit knew covid would become a pandemic. Nobody knew just how serious a disease it would end up being. ' This is by far my fav version of the song. I like it much more than the actual album version.
Holy shit this sounds fucken awesome! Not quite as sorrowful as the original but instead replaced with so much bittersweet feelings that eventually elicit hope for a better tomorrow... I know it's not that deep lol but I think it sounds something like that.
@splittermusik Well said. I always resented people who say "better than the original". They don't understand the concept of a cover or a remix. Excellent choice regardless Trent provides me with alot of inspiration as well. Keep it up. I think Trent would be flattered.
I haven't listened to the song in years. I look it up and accidentally play this remix. You did a fantastic job remixing this. Keep up the the good work. Also, I fell asleep to this in a good way.
That's quite interesting actually, usually Zero Sum is in my playlist with music I listen to when I'm feeling a bit depressed, not when I'm happy. But the original is bloody good though, a really good song. Nice remix as well.
@splittermusik I'm sorry I didn't make myself entirely clear before -I was referring to your previous mix of this track on youtube. I can't even compare this to the original nor would I. Year-Zero is as you said a concept album that tells a story with tracks not meant to stand alone (although they certainly can). I completely agree that no man can do justice to Trent's music like the big man himself. Again great improvement from your last track, I'm sure Trent would dig this. Cheers
i see the sunrise every morning before work, its a peculiar thing, sometimes its a gentle blue, while other times its a fiery red orange. thats the good part of getting up at 4 in the morning for work. I never miss a starry sky, a sunrise, or a sunset :)
Beautiful ..i admire your humble statement. But what you have done requires great skill and soul. Im glad i clicked on the splitter remix out of curiosity.
This is good try to make better. It really needs the Los Angeles Orchestra to make it reach full potential. I hear a string section for the song and giant japanese daiko drums
Excellent! but you just need to drop down one octave on the piano to give the song a more sensitive, longing feeling in 0:32-0:55 and sections with the same musical composition. Otherwise i love it, it compliments the original wonderfully!
I watched a sunset with this. I could swear my spirit left my body and flew away

Boy if this doesnt ring more true today than it did at release.

I don’t remember when I first found this mix. Im just glad I came full circle to find it again.
Heard this while on LSD - was the best thing ever!
for the first time. Wow. I made everyone shut up while it played and they thought I was an asshole. wow tho.
Ha literally making a playlist for an upcoming trip. This is about as good an endorsement as it gets
@@samsungtelevision695 Its just awesome :) i think i will hear it too on this years ritual :D
So beautiful, shame on us, we knew from the start, may God have mercy on our dirty little hearts, that lift at 5:40 is orgasmic we need more pleas!!!!!
I first discovered Splitter with this remix and his music was a great help when I was struggling with depression in my early twenties. Thank you.

Zero's and One's line is referencing computer programming. Basically saying there is no god and we're just a program. Kinda like the Matrix.
Year Zero was fucking amazing, I love the whole damn thing

This song is a masterpiece and this mix highlights the best parts
Just perfect ......................
The song is perfect i cant stop listening to it, but thats how talented trent is, he brings out the best, and without you and him none of this would be possible.
Excellent remix. I like how you increased the volume of Trent's vocals on the chorus. I always thought they were too low.
Wow you this blows away both the original and the tweaker ray version. You officially are in the top remixers of nin all time. Thank you for this it showcases the lyrics better than the original
Sheisse, that was serioulsy breathtakingly beautiful remix! It was perfect! :D
This nine inch nails remix really just about sums up my recovery from schizophrenia.

Dang, really good job with this, probably the best remix I've heard of a track from Year Zero.
