magnificent country out there isnt it ! I really enjoyed Cloncurry but I didn't get to visit it's surrounding districts . great to see them through your travels . I think I remember the dam and Mary Kathleen being mentioned in Cloncurry about it's mining .. ohh noo loosing your drone .. but even better new footage to come I guess .. nightskies stars look incredible

Yes it’s a good spot. I lived at Mary Kathleen until 1983. Clem Walton park was created as a recreation and picnic spot for the employees and there families Attended many functions there and the tree with rope swing was part of the fun. Last visited the park in the 1990’s.
Clem Walton is a much better campground imo. Amazing that you know the history of the tree & rope swing....... It's really a special place & a little sad in a way that it's all gone.. Thanks for the info Cheers Paul & Michelle PMK3AUSTRALIA

Lived in Mary K from 59 - 64. Was a great place to grow up. Dad would take us boys fishing on Corella Dam.

I wonder if that is the old rope swing tree now dead in the water.
This was our first visit here so don’t really know.
