Sadly soon all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.!!! (BABVVEN & TEBBVEN laws)
And in all due honesty; what will we achieve? I see no positive things. Okay, emissions will be lowered, but this will influence all vehicles across the board. Buses too. I don't see that we would be seeking alternative fuel solutions or alternative propulsion solutions in such a magnitude. Oh, and don't get me started on buying electric cars. There has been a shortage on chips ever since COVID. None was interested in finding means to forego the shortage, let alone sort it out. Oh .. shortage is real, sorry. We will all go down the drain with our bids for a more sustainable future, because our dreams are not attainable. Electric luxury cars are not available to the wide spectrum of population, only to those people who don't really need them. If there ever was a drive to go green, we would be suffocating in a ton of electric cars, may they even be as cheap as the Chinese ones. So either cars will become a luxurious accessory again, or someone up there is so greedy, we could all die in our blood and saliva, as long as his money is concerned. (PS: A new electric car goes for like 23800€ in HU. My wage for a whole year is only half of that amount.. No thanks. Give me an ICE shitbox, some fuel, I'll do just fine.)
