You can find 1000s of videos on TH-cam claiming authentic Jhol, while they are not even close to 20%. They dilute the Mo:Mo chutney with excess water and pass it off as Jhol. However, this particular video I came across is remarkably close to being 90% authentic. I'm truly impressed and want to salute the creator - (Y) From Nepal
Thanks for the recipe can’t wait to try, love the sound effect when you lift the lid on the tomatoes

Thank you very much , I am thinking that how to make Nepali momo soup.finally I did it 👍👍👍
Looks delicious. But doesn’t the jhol have lard in it? Back in Nepal I remember the jhol to be pretty greasy. Just curious.
Thank you for the video
Love the video and can't wait to make it. Question, do you heat the broth before serving it with the momos?
Thank you for your love❤️. As for the sauce it totally depends on your liking. For me in cold days I prefer warm/hot and summer days like it in room temperature. Thanks
In hotels they usually keep sauce in refrigerator and in a bottle so it cools down the hot momo coming right off the fire
❤❤
This is the kind of momo I love to eat.

Somebody please tell me what is a Lapsi powder and where I can get one. And also is there anything to use other than this?
Lapsi is a fruit small fruit grown only in Nepal. As it ripens it has a pleasantly tart and sour flavor. It can be eaten fresh, powdered, pickled, cooked with vegetables or used as a souring agent.
LAPSI powder is also called hog plum powder basically used as souring agent here in this recipe. It can be substitute with lemon/lime juice. You can get these on Nepali grocery store or some Indian stores who sells Nepali products. Depending on your location if you are in America I have found these in some of the Lotte plaza stores too.
I hope these information is helpful for you 👍
@@simplysisam3416 super helpful thank you so much
@@simplysisam3416 one more question, if I'm to use lemon juice, how much would be the right amount, I'm trying to make this as authentic as possible
hii, love the video! I plan to make them, quick question, how long to steam momos?
Thank you for you lovely comment 👍 😍To answer your questions I usually steam it for 18 to 20 min. Enjoy your Jhol MoMo 👍
Normally 10 minutes is enough if the water is roaring and boiling

What is lapsi powder? And what is its alternative?
Lapsi is also known as hog plum which is native to Nepal. You can find it in south Asian grocery stores. No worries if you couldn’t find you can substitute with lemon juice😀. Enjoy!

Yes ma'am
She knows those wrappers are worth shit. If you are making momo at home. Don't be lazy, make the dough.
Momo masala name ?
Hindi
NEPOL? Is it similar to MUREECA?
God I hate when Nepali people butcher saying our own country’s name!
😂😂😂😂😂
😂
Water 2 cups salt to taste
Why are Nepal people putting masala in every food.. Guess momo will taste better without masala... Any way lots of love
It will be a western food not Nepali food lol...If there's ain't masala in Momo then we don't call it Momo! Masala is a part of our culture and using traditional herbs as a spices to our food is since long time ago. Well to answer you, I'll say "No! Momo won't taste good without masala"
If you don’t then it will become gyoza, dim sum ,jiaozi, or I don’t what else. Every Asian country have their own version.
Why are you complaining about some other country's food
Where is msg haiyaa
