It was smart to leak the news of a big announcement before 300. It was classy to wait until the post fight presser to announce it.. The post fight presser is wildly popular with Dana's summation of each event. Announcing it there allows perspective on the Conner event - it's back page news (connor vs. chandler is an oldtimers circuit event) but done with plenty of eyes and directly to journalists. I just think the world of UFC is so much bigger than that underwhelming event will be. Sure, it will draw some eyes, but unless they choreograph the fight it will look like exaclty what it is, a fun oldtimers event. Cheeey and fun. As for the other arguments, the fight's outcome boils down to a big gap in skills, especially in positioning and striking.
