    The AZ DPS drive a lot of unmarked cars on the Arizona highways. You never know who's behind you, On the side of you or even in front of you. Drive safely everyone, I do.

    Arizona State Troopers are worthwhile law enforcement professionals. I can't say the same for local or county agencies.

    They seem to be very professional and even somewhat lenient in arizona. They definitely let people speed in Phoenix that's for sure. Seen people do 75 + in phoenix with troopers driving along with them.

    Where can you drag race in Arizona that is close in proximity? They keep closing all the tracks for angry homeowners who move near them. I think there maybe only one track left in the entire state... how sad. When you pull some one over for street racing you can no longer use the " take it to the track" cliché.

    I thought the supreme court ruled it's not the resposability of police for public saftey, so why is there a DPS?

    • @DByers-ci5kr
      @DByers-ci5kr 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Public safety is defined as "protection of the general public" & is inclusive of police & fire services as well as certain other government authorities & volunteer organizations. I have no idea what case you are referring to but the SCOTUS has never ruled police are not responsible for public safety any more than they have ruled pets are people too. Both would be ridiculous.

      @@DByers-ci5kr In the 1981 case Warren v. District of Columbia, the D.C. Court of Appeals held that police have a general "public duty," but that "no specific legal duty exists" unless there is a special relationship between an officer and an individual, such as a person in custody.

    I was a Trooper for 20 years. Most are stopping for minor traffic violations as 100 mph cars are going by. That is why they have so many fatal collisions in Arizona.

      Come on Snake. You were a Trooper for 20 years and this is you’re view on what you did for such a long time. What happened to criminal interdiction, equipment violations, non hazardous moving violations and the list goes on.. What do you do when you see a patrol car on a traffic stop? Do you also haul ass at 100? I bet you slow down and move over like a lot of people do. I’ll add an extra year to you’re 20 and I’ll tell you there is way more to this profession than what you think. BTW outstanding work Trooper Chavez!

You can call it what you want and have every right to feel that way, call it bs, that’s your opinion and I respect it, I just don’t agree with you because of my personal encounters with this man. Some people are super nice off camera as well and Officer Chavez here is one of those persons.
