You don't ever have to feel guilty about music. It has no boundaries nor languages. So listen to what makes you happy. However, that being said there are independent bands in India that don't get much attention and they are really great! Yes not everyone know about them but not your mistake again because k-pop on whole has become very popular. It's not that you will not support the Indian bands if you knew about them 🤗 So listen, explore moreover stay happy.

It might seem like bit of an impulse, but I want to learn the sitar as well. My mother learnt the sitar and almost reached the level of an expert, but she had to leave it behind. I think Indian musical instruments are really underrated, especially ones that create different sounds entirely, like the sitar.

Each state of India have some incredible bands. Look deeper and you will discover a lot. I grew up listening to "Mohiner ghoraguli" the first band of Bengal. Then there's "Bhumi" , "Cactus", "Fossils" many more. We are so focused in international culture that we forget to explore what we already have.

Do react to 'ONE' from the band called Thaikkudam Bridge and 'Mist of Capricorn' from the band called Agam. Both of them are famous bands from Southern part of India.

Did I hear Emily Haydel's voice? :) Riddhi is one of my favorite k-pop journalists and Emily is a great interviewer.
Loved to be introduced to more indian artists through this video. Woosung seems to be a really cool and chill guy. I've heard his solo works recently, it's interesting how he manages to make the songs on "Genre" sound both cheerful and somewhat mature despite the genre that inspired him. And his voice tone is delightful, I'd say almost dreamy. I can't help but think about "Junun" by Shye Ben Tzur with Rajasthan Express and Radiohead's guitarist Jonny Greenwood and wonder if he knows the album.
