    Is it still working a months later ? Did you have to replace the probe already ? Pretty curious as I'm considering buying one of those.
    Very nice video btw. Very relaxing.

      Thank you very much🙂 Yes, we are still using this pH-meter every week. We have not replaced the probe, but we have been careful to have enough pH storage solution in the cap and we have calibrated the meter a couple of times 😀 If you look at this video we use the same pH meter 1,5 years later m.th-cam.com/video/5z3L67xs3-U/w-d-xo.html

    Nice! How much off can it be before calibration. Mine came without the bags. I'll have to get them separately.

      @innehagen4248  ปีที่แล้ว

      We are not sure how much off it was before we calibrated it. It should be pretty accurate from the factory but it is recommend to calibrate it to be sure 😀

    I want to ask something
    The temperature of the environment that displayed on my ph meter is 47 degree celcius which is not like the actual temp
    And i try to calibrate it and always shown error
    Is it can because of the damage of my ph meter or what?
    Thanks before

    • @innehagen4248
      @innehagen4248  หลายเดือนก่อน

      It sounds like there might be a problem with your ph meter. You can try refilling ph refill/storage solution in the cap (3 mol KCl). If this doesnt help you should contact the store where you bought it.

    • @innehagen4248

      Thank you 😀 Can it be that the bag was damaged? And that the humidity got into the bag? Also did you read our other comment about using demineralised water? It is possible to buy new bags cheap on aliexpress.

    Should it come with storage solution inside the cap mine is dry with something yellow at the bottom

    • @innehagen4248
      @innehagen4248  ปีที่แล้ว

      The yellow at the bottom is a sponge. The sponge should be wet with storage solution when it comes from the factory. You should not let the sponge dry out, you should refill with storage solution once in a while. If the sponge was hard/dry when you got it, that would be a bad sign. Try to add storage solution and let it rest for a day. This can fix the probe. If not you should contact the store where you bought it.

    • @innehagen4248
      @innehagen4248  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi, you do not have to calibrate it after every use, 3-4 times a year should be enough or you can calibrate it again if it has been stored for a long time 🙂

      Are you using demineralised water or just tap water? Demineralised water is water completely free of dissolved minerals as a result of, distillation, deionization or membrane filtration (reverse osmosis). Old car batteries use demineralised water so your local hardware store might have it if you ask for battery water. In this movie we use "battery water". You can also just try to google demineralised water to see where you can buy it nearby. If you use normal tap water, it will have the wrong pH and your calibration liquid will be out of range for calibration.
      It is also important to be very accurate when you mix the powder with the water. You have to get all of the powder out of the bag. If there is just a little left in the bag the mixture will have the wrong pH.
      Also you must use exactly the right amount of water (250ml in our case).

    • @jamesbishop5119

      It does not look like a sponge at all and is dry...

    • @innehagen4248
      @innehagen4248  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That does not sound good. If it was crystalized it has probably dried out. It might have been stored too long in the store you bought it...or the rubberring which seal the cap is damaged. There should be a little bit storage solution in the cap like this www.innehagen.no/product-page/growth-technology-ph-probe-refill-storage-300-ml

  • @kidtuber3407
    @kidtuber3407 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @innehagen4248
      @innehagen4248  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, there is a little bit in the cap when you buy it :-), but with regular use this will dry out after a while (couple of months depending on use). Therefore we recommend to buy some with the meter.

    • @innehagen4248
      @innehagen4248  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, it has to be demineralized water completely free of dissolved minerals. We bought it at local hardware store, in our case it was intended to refill car batteries 😀 But we guess you can get it anywhere. We are sure you find it nearby if you search for demineralized water👍

    What I so dislike about pH meters is that they lose accuracy and in about 18 months need to be replaced, or the bulb probe does. VERY expensive to have to keep replacing them like that.

    • @innehagen4248
      @innehagen4248  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We have been using this pH meter for nearly a year now and so far so good. Keeping our fingers crossed :) I think the main problem with many pH meters that stops working is that pH meters are not sold together with pH storage solution, and people are not generally aware ;) that the probe will dry out and stop working if it is not stored with pH storage solution in the cap. We regulary check and refill storage solution in the cap so I have hopes that it will last longer than 18 months. See 3:00 . Example of the storage solution we use: www.innehagen.no/product-page/growth-technology-ph-probe-refill-storage-300-ml

      @@innehagen4248 Yes, and no. This was brand new just opened, and from Blue manufacturer if kept dry it loses accuracy but stick it in the solution for 10 mins, and it will be back.

      The pH meter in this video does come with electrode protection. The cap has a wet sponge with storage solution and it is is sealed with a rubber o-ring. If your pH meter does not have electrode protection it will not be accurate.
